I think we have finally had a break thru with my wee man taking the bottle. We have been trying for ages off and on just to have that little bit of flexibility. As of Sunday he took 100mls twice that day, Monday he took another 100mls (all these times not wanting anything else even me, so assumed he was full). Well today he took 180mls (around about what Plunket told me he should be having for a 7 1/2 month old).

I'm so happy. I never thought we would get there. Just had to share. Perservance must have paid off.

The funny thing is that he was taking it fine in the early months and then we stopped giving him a bottle for a bit and the next time we gave it to him he wouldn't have a bar of it - I think it was around 4 months from memory and have been trying since.

Roll on girls weekend away!! I wonder if I could do that.

Well just thought I would update on this situation. The bottle feeding has continued which we are wrapped with. My DS even had the bottle before bed last night and slept until 5.30am (unfotunately wouldn't go back to sleep though), little ratbag. Mind you that is nothing out of the ordinary for him at the time as it seems to be getting light in his room by the time I have finished feeding him. It's probably better if he wakes an hour earlier that way you get a bit more sleep.

Anyway back on the topic my wee man drunk 220mls twice yesterday so he is obviously getting used to the formula.
