Were you giving your babies at 6 1/2 mths.

Rhiannon is on 4 bottles a day of about 200mls and has just started wanting 3 feeds a day.

I am currently giving her b/fast and dinner, (b/fast is farex and fruit) dinner is veges and meat...that i have done myself.

so i just wanted to know what ppl where giving their babies and how much

Thanks muchly

i dont think i was giving too much at that age cause i only started them at approx 5.5 months. i think tho that it was about one ice cube worth of puree per meal tho. i used to do a pot of mash and freeze in ice cube trays then put in bags in the freezer.

Jack was having 3 at this stage - a banana for breakfast, about 4 cubes for lunch, cruskits and about 4-5 ice cubes for tea

Olivia is a month younger than Rhiannon and has 3 meals a day of 3 ice cubes and 5-6 bottle of 150ml. She is on smaller meals more often because the bigger ones were giving her reflux a bit of a run down.

Joshie is on about the same as Olivia - 150ml bottles at b/fast, lunch and dinner, 200ml after his big sleep (round 2.30pm) and 100 ml at morning tea and his dream feed at 10pm. He has baby cereal at b/fast, 3 cubes pureed fruit at lunch and 3 cubes pureed veges at dinner. I was wondering if perhaps I was over feeding, but he refuses what he doesn't want, so I guess all is good So hard to know!!

Taine was on about the same but maybe only 2 meals a day. That was more due to forgetting to give him solids, than him not wanting them. wow - now thats sounds neglectful!

The advice I've been given is to work one meal up to half a cup and once they're taking that half a cup, then increase the number of meals per day. So increase the amount, then the number of meals.

Don't know how well that works though because Ashlee's not on solids yet!!!
