and its all old news now too - last week it was all over the papers and no doubt in a couple of months it will be again. there is always going to be a gourp of people who come out after the fact saying it is a bad thing. when they should have put their objections forward to start with - not try and scare parents after.
like liz said no point in feeling guilty now...

Personally I don't want to see it as it is always the finger being pointed "you should have vaccinated so your kid didn't get sick" or "you vaccinated when it was a crap vaccine and now your kids is going to get sick". At the end of the day no one wins when fingers are wildly getting pointed. There will always be a mistake decision in the care of our children no matter what we do.
All this parent scaremongering is getting way out of control. What about the real problems like theft or gun usage, drug addiction and terrorists? Seems like a much better thing to whine about other than "your decisions are crap, look at what it is going to do to you and your kids MUHAhahahHAHha".
I'm not saying at all that the issues and concerns that surround this whole saga are not important but we never see in the papers that we are trying to make a difference to the care of our children by offering this vaccine. What are the pro's? What about the kid's (and I might be mistaken but I am sure even though the media states otherwise there are more than 5 - Olivia being one of them) who have had no problems with the vaccine?
Ok, rant over!

What right would Drs have to distribute the vaccine if it was going to make our kids sick?! I think its a load of crap to be honest, for our government and country to jepodise (sp?) the children of tomorrow is just plain ridiculous! Come on we know how stupid the media is. Im not going to watch it, ill only get mad!

I know DH wants to watch it, but I'm not sure if I will... the media always ticks me off a bit when it comes to things like this - when I was doing my degree I did a paper on how they tend to pick small issues and create a "moral panic" where there wasn't one before, or blow things out of all proportion. Think about the Bird Flu "pandemic" for example, it's classic...

Have any of you actually done the research about MenzB. The media have alot of screwed up info but the was enough info in research papers to make me seriously think about my decision carefully.

Yer any sensible mother will research that before making the decision!

I chose to do it coz i would rather have her covered than to have her get MENZ and regret not giving it to her in a way there is no win win situation. It to me was something i had to do!

This is all i am going to say on this matter i am very pro imms and yeh get quite fiesty about it.
