Hi guys - got my BFP this morning! We already have a son (who's two) and this was second month of trying - feeling super lucky and super blessed!!!! Due date for me is March 5th too (although that's only using online due date calculator but pretty sure I have my dates perfect I think!). Last time I saw my Dr he just told me to find a midwife - but have you others seen a Dr yet? My only symptoms are missed period, super hungry and thirsty!!! No sore breasts but never had that on the last pregnancy either!

I've just seen my dr, and locked in my midwife today, bit of an over-organiser I think! Have a dating scan booked in for 2 weeks time too, so excited. This will be #1 for dh and I, although we had a very early ectopic m/c last year. I feel very good about this pregnancy, completely different to the last, and further along I suspect. Haven't told anyone yet, going to wait until after dating can before we consider telling close family and some friends :)

I am also an over organiser - emailed a midwife this morning too! I know for me it's early days but I figure can't help to get all sorted!!!! I will ask for a dating scan (I did last time too) to confirm my dates are right. Congrats to you both, vineyardhoney and Greenery (our son is 2 years and four months so we will have a similar age gap!)!!! :)

I text my sister straight away haha She knows how hard its been for us and i had to tell someone! nice early 30th present to myself :D

Hi ladies! I got my BFP on Monday and it has come at just the right time after 9 months of TTC. I had written my work resignation letter over the weekend and was ready to hand it in on Monday and than this happened!

Tested at home again on Wednesday morning and the second line now very strong. Symptoms wise, super sore boobs, really thirsty, very hungry, a bit of insomnia (although I think that's due to work stress). A bit of nausea in the morning but nothing major yet.

Due March 5th according to cycles, booked in for a doc's appointment on Saturday.

Congrats to you all and look forward to sharing this journey with you!

Hi I'm here too! Was quite surprised to get my bfp at only 10dpo. But was still there yesterday so don't think I'm dreaming. Only symptom really is soreish boobs and feeling real dehydrated, but that could be my lack of water intake!

Edd is 8 or 10 march according to ff

Oh and this is baby #2 (obviously). Ds is nearly 3yrs old

BFP on Sunday here.. Only tested to rule it out as I have been feeling sick for days. I'm so happy about it but feel dog rough! I'm guessing a due date around 1st March.

My first was born in Nov2011. Congrats everyone!

Should we start a private forum on here? I would prefer to use oh baby to Facebook if that's ok

I'm in for a private forum, how do we do that?

Went home early today as was doing some tidying around the office and felt faint, now super tired. Feeling terrified that something's gonna go wrong, having dreams of m/c, anyone else having any anxiety?

Yup, bit of anxiety here too baby v, scared I won't make the dating scan, or won't be anything at the dating scan...all feelings from my m/c last year coming back. Trying to block them out and just enjoy this!

I've emailed the admin for a private forum so keep an eye out for it

Private forum sounds good to me. I think we all have anxieties about this stage - but I just out it to the back of my ind and enjoy the ride and stay positive - it's all any of us can do I guess!!! Enjoy the moment - yay, we have just all got BFPs!!!!!!! :)

OMG just went food shopping and so tired I wanna die, this preggo fatigue thing is brutal! Still so happy about being PG though

Went the the doc yesterday he didn't see the need for a PG test as my 2 home PG tests were fine he reckoned. Just wrote me a referral for a blood test and 8-10 week scan. He told me to decide whether to go with a private LMC or a midwife and give them a call when I'm ready. Pretty uneventful visit really. We've decided to go with a midwife and save the $$$ for when I'm not working anymore.

How's everyone doing?

Hiya! Yes, the tiredness has kicked in here too! I don't recall being this tried first time around - or maybe I have forgotten! I have also booked a midwife and got some forms coming for bloods and more folic acid tablets etc. I might have an early scan for dating purposes too - as I think my date of March 5th is based on a 28 day cycle and Im pretty sure I ovulated day 17 this cycle (making it 31 day cycle).....so possibly March 8th? Not sure! Super happy about being pregnant - although looking at finances, 9 months isn't very long in come respects!!!!! Have had a few moments of feeling nauseous but I recall it didn't hit properly until week 6 last time (I'm week 5 on Tuesday) so quite early.

hi there, we just confirmed pregnancy over the weekend, this is #3 for me, but its been 8 years since my last. my pregnancies are considered high risk because I have a congenital heart defect. although it didn't affect my last 2, it could be a little more risky this time.
due around 6th march yay!! tiredness has hit hard and I am not looking forward to the nausea. id love to join private forum please :)

I had a BFP yesterday. This is our 2nd baby, we have a 6 yr old girl. I think I'm due 6th March, so I'm considered 4 weeks pregnant (I never actually knew it's taken from the first day of your last AF)!! I would also love to join the private forum. Thanks!

Hi all - thought I'd join in one of these pregnancy forums so I don't bore everybody else going on about it (and drive myself mad waiting till we can tell people!). I'm 5 weeks - from my dates due around the 3rd of March, baby conceived on the 10th of June, woohoo!! This is our first and we're ecstatic, even though we weren't planning on trying for a baby until the end of the year. Guess he or she heard us talking about it though and decided to pop along a bit sooner. ;-)

So far so good but OMG I am soooooooo exhausted and so hungry, I've had two dinners the last few nights (!!! - I'm pretty tiny so this is pretty mad!) and peeing all the time. Ran to my car at lunch today and slept for half an hour on the back seat, hoping nobody saw me, hehe.

Yes please to private forum too. :)

Hi Everyone...

Soo it seems I have a March baby onboard... EEK!!

Still got to have the dating scan but the Doctor who confirmed all this morning has given me the rough date of 3rd March!!

I'm very excited and very nervous.
A massive shock as we were told we could need support due to me having PCOS. I just thought my missed period was due to the battle ahead and really didn't expect the two home tests I did on my lunch break on monday to say otherwise!

I've been feeling rather tired and basically waiting for a period to arrive for two weeks although really I have eight months one day for a baby to arrive which is far better!

Would love to join the private forum and discuss and get to know you all on the journey ahead!

Hi everyone,
Congratulations to you all!

After 3 positive HPT I'm now in the March baby club with my first. Very excited! Not had many symptoms, except being woken up with abdominal cramps at about 3am the last two night, they last for about 15 mins and then go away, feel like menstrual cramps I used to have as a teenage. No spotting, which I'm taking as a good thing. Anyone else having this?

Going to see my GP for the first time tomorrow, just wondering what to expect on the first visit. I'm presuming they just confirm and tell you to contact a midwife, is there anything I should know?

Would love to be on the private forum as well, nice to be able to talk to people about it.

Fernrose - yup have had abdominal cramps like when you have your period, it's very normal so long as its not constant apparently?

Fernrose, I am getting cramping too (off and on). I had this with my first pregnancy (probably worse) and the GP sent me for a scan to make sure the pregnancy wasn't ectopic. All was fine.

I've booked in with the GP but I have no idea if that's the done thing these days (or if you just get a midwife)? I'm already taking all the vitamins.

Where abouts do we go for the private forum? Thanks for the password.

Thanks, good to know others are having it too. The cramps aren't all the time but I'll ask the doctor about it tomorrow and just check that everything is all where it's meant to be.

Morsel, for the private forum go to the main forum page and keep scrolling down till you find the private forum section and there is one called March 2014 babies.

I had cramping to start off with as well, from 1 week post ovulation through to about 3 days past period being due. It was sort of period-ish; figured it was just implantation and the endometrium growing a bit and things settling in. I don't get period cramps (or anything PMS-y at all!) so it was one of my tell-tale signs.

I don't actually have a GP so have just registered with one, appointment booked for next week - I assumed you should have a GP? If you don't need one I'll just stick with the midwife then, yay! :)

Thanks Aquamarine, gives me hope that these cramps might stop soon :)

I haven't had any for a few days now - give it time, and if you're worried or it's really bad maybe get checked out just in case? I'm sure it's fine though, just baby wiggling around making a bit of room in there to settle in for the next eight months. :)

Hi ladies, just been to the doctors and I've been referred for the normal blood tests and told to find a midwife. He also said that there isn't usually a scan before 16 weeks. I thought there was one at around 12 weeks, as that's when you can normally start to tell people, is this right? What really hoping not to wait so long to hear a little heartbeat.
Also does anyone have any recommendations for midwives in Wellington?

Hi everyone

I'm trying to remain a little anonymous because I used to be quite well known on here, but I'm due on the 11th of March.

Had a BFP at home and at the doctors on the 1st, and a positive blood result yesterday.

Looking forward to sharing this journey with you all!

Date Posted: 04 July 2013 at 9:43am
Yes, there used to be a scan at 12 weeks - we skipped it last time as we wanted to have the baby no matter what and I'd already had that early scan at 5 weeks due to having those cramps. I wonder if they're cutting costs by having only one between 12 and 20 weeks? Most countries have added an extra scan though, so it seems a bit odd? Hopefully the M/W will be able to clear that up for you!

Hi Everyone!

must say it's all a bit overwhelming- it's great to read everyone's post, we all have such varied stories! trying also to get my head around some of the acronyms used in the posts! I'm due 11th March 2014, ( according to the internet) still to book into the doctors- Just moved to Timaru- I see thirst is a common theme for symptoms so far... that's my only sign so far, and I think chest is already increasing which I don't need! Found out I was pregnant yesterday but don't think it's really sunk in for myself or hubby... it's great to have a place to chat! esp since no one but hubby knows yet! look forward to more posts

Hi everyone, I just got a faint bfp (like I did for my daughter) this morning! Excited, but nervous. The reality of having 2, 2 years apart is dawning ;) She's obsessed with her 'bubba' (Baby doll) right now though, so I reckon we've got a great tool for helping come to terms with what's going on.

I wish us all lots of sticky, healthy vibes x

Hello everyone,

I'm here... tentatively. This is my third pregnancy trying for my first baby. I have had 2 early miscarriages this year (both at 4w3d), the second was only 4 weeks ago.

Now it seems I am pregnant again! Got a strong line at 11dpo and an even stronger one at 14dpo.. The lines are darker than the other two pregnancies so I'm hoping this is a good sign!

By my calculations (and FF) I will be due 14th March.

Needless to say, I'm terrified of miscarrying again, I get worried every time I need to go to the bathroom and I'm even dreaming about it! I know I need to find a way to relax but it's really hard!

Anyone got any tips?
I'm now going to read back and catch up on who's in here.
xx

OK just caught up and wanted to add a few things..

I'm not going to my GP because I went with my first pregnancy and they just gave me a bunch of brochures which I still have. Just called a midwife (the one my sister used) and she seems lovely and is going to meet with me next week to arrange blood tests to confirm everything is OK with the baby and also a scan for a few weeks time to put my mind at rest!

She just said make sure I'm taking my folic acid, try not to work too hard or stress too much! ha!

As for symptoms, I've had really tender breasts since 7dpo, I swear they are more accurate than any pregnancy test! Also have had some cramping, a few times it's been a real stabbing pain, quite scary but I hear that's normal so trying not to stress!

Also a bit tired and demolished a whole packet of salt and vinegar rice crackers so maybe a bit hungry too!!!

Also restless in bed and waking super early in the morning, but that might be due to me worrying.

DH and I won't be telling anyone until we're 6 weeks/hear a heartbeat or get some kind of confirmation that everything's OK. Then it'll just be close family and a few friends.

I feel more protective of this pregnancy than I did with the last one!!

I am here tenatively too. #1 for us. Got a BFP yesterday lunch time + another this morning - haha I'll probably check again 2mo! Not too much to report symptom wise. I think I felt 'implantation' the weekend before this one just past. No spotting though. I *thought* I felt a wee pang of nausea this morning - but that I might have just been a jerky early morning ferry crossing. So when do you guys ring your GP? Should I give it a week or so? From my online calculations I should be due on March 14. Still hasn't really sunk in. Wowzas.

Cool a-jo we're due the same day! I think you can go to your GP whenever you want, I went to mine 14dpo (with my first pregnancy) and they were sweet with that, didn't even do another test just took my word for it, gave me a bunch of brochures and stuff to read and told me to call a midwife..

I hope you're feeling ok yourself. This forum is such a sweet way to keep in touch with people who might be thinking the same crazy thoughts as you. Glad I found it!

Hi All. I think I'm due 10 March. It's all a bit of a surprise, but as this is #3 you'd think I'd have figured out what caused it by now. We had been TTC for months. Last month I got to day 33 of a 27 day cycle. Just about to test and hello AF. We re-assessed the situation and decided to stop trying. Our lives were moving on, I start a new job next Monday, and 2 lovely kids already. Well anyway.
Day 33 of a 27 day cycle again this month. Got into shower this morning, and realised my breasts were sore. Two BFP later I'm still not convinced it's real (two pack of tests). I'm still a bit unsure of how I feel about it.

And is this different to the 'private forum'? I'm confused!

The Facebook page is set to 'Secret', so no one can see you are in it. If it was ever set to "Closed" then people could see you are in it but not what you're writing about in there. It's different to the Private Forum, the private forum is on this site (OhBaby) and is for more private things like posting pics. However, you can't guarantee who's going to be on ANY of the sites/ threads as anyone can ask for the password for either. I have a pseudo account I use on Facebook for these types of things (originally set to check my privacy settings), as I'm not comfortable sharing my full name and pictures of my family until I know people are who they say they are. Everyone seems completely fine on there, but I am quite careful with security, anyone could look my name up in the phone book with full name and location (and since we all share when we're going on holidays, I just like to be cautious, just in case)...until we all get to know each other better. Perhaps you could do the same until you're more comfortable with security? :)

I know how you feel Julietta,! I am pregnant with baby number 3, but have had 2 miscarriages in the last 15 months, so very nervous, don't really believe I am pregnant yet, I'm sure I will when the morning sickness hits! Currently 4 weeks 3 days pregnant, due date is 17 March.
Trying to stay positive but it's hard!
Wishing you all the best!

Hope everyone is having a good week 5. I felt so normal yesterday that I whipped out another test ;o nutter. Very dark, strong line now so I was reassured. I've had weird PMSy type cramps this avo. Makes me nervous but I read its all normal. I just want some more weeks to pass now, to get into a safer zone. Sickie feelings might be reassuring next week. I am heading to my doc 2mo morning. I hope she advises me what to do next!

Thanks naturalmama, all the best for your pregnancy!

Today I've felt really anxious all day, and I think my first 'mood' hit, either that or DH is just being super annoying ha ha. Wish the pulling and cramping would stop.. Feeling stressed!

Felt a bit sickly today though, so that's a good sign at least!

I saw my acupuncturist on Wed night and she thinks everything seems strong and healthy so I'll just keep reminding myself of that. Hope everyone is well x

Hi, I am a newbie ! 4,5 weeks, due mid march, early stages and I have had IVF so feeling a whole lot of mixed emotions. Hoping everything goes to plan. I have had 2 blood tests already and more next week just to check everything is doing what it should. Was our first IVF cycle so we are incredibly lucky to get this far. After a terrible history with pregnancies- ectopics I really hope this is the one !!

I have had 2 faint BFPs!! Tonight's darker than this morning and will do another in the morning, nut as they say, if its positive its positive right? But doesn't seem real!! No symptoms, other than using potential pregnancy as an excuse to not get up and run on freezing mornings!!! Lazy!!! That mind set I now changed!! My due date will be 27th March. I know I know thus early but was an iui so know exactly when everything happened!! Have blood tests booked Monday, booked at time of iui, so think I will feel less like its a lie when I have those!!

Hi Ladies. Very tentatively joining this group. Just completed our second round of IVF, and it has been a very rough journey. I'm currently under the care of the fertility clinic, and have done my first blood test with them, and will have another blood test on Thursday and a scan at around 7 weeks. After that I may start looking for a midwife (all going to plan).

Only had a few mild symptoms so far. Achy boobs, small amount of nausea, a wee bit of cramping.

I think my EDD will be around 18 March.

Can someone PM me the password to the private forum?

Hello everyone!
I got my BFP yesterday, didn't have any HPTs at home so used an OPK and got a positive result. DF got me a HPT on his way home and sure enough it was a strong positive (at 12DPO).
Baby is due 28th March.
My boobs are a bit tender and have a lot of cramping which is freaking me out a bit.
Can I please have the password to the private forum? Thanks

Hi ladies and Congratulations on your BFPs!!! I got mine a week ago and have been a little scared to jump in here because I've had a bit of a rough journey ttc our first. Was going to try wait til 12 weeks to join you but decided to jump in because I'm feeling really positive about this wee bean and thought it'd be nice to have you all to chat to. I am due 19th March... anyone else share the same date?
Ammikins, I hope you're ok - sending you lots of sticky vibes and well wishes.
I'd love the password for the private forum if someone could pm me please

Welcome everyone! I think there's a few of us who are nervous about being here because of past experiences so I'm sure we'll be a great support to each other! I'm just waiting for the midwife to ring me back with hcg results and it's like torture!!! X
