I am 40 weeks pregnant on Friday & Since 6am Yesterday morning I have been having lower back pain which has been coming & going the whole time. I am just wondering if anyone's labour has started as lower back pain & progressed into full blown labour? THanks :) |

I have not had a baby but I work in the medical field. Yes labour can start like this. In fact some woman all they ever really get is lower back pain. It usually occurs if the baby is lying posteriorly (back to your back). I would all your. | It couldnt hurt to call your midwife but normally, if your in labour you will know it. It could just be bubba pushing on your back getting ready and into position :) |
