Welcome to the Due in August 2014 thread and CONGRATULATIONS on your pregnancy! What an exciting and amazing journey you are now on! Welcome also to the OHbaby! community :) Here you will get to make some fantastic friends, learn from others experiences and share a tear and a giggle with each other. We have two Due in Threads created each month - one is public and one is private. The public one is great for general chat and banter the private thread is password protected and is great for you to share photo's of baby bumps etc If you're new to the thread and want to be a part of the private group also Just pop in here - say hi and that you're keen to be in the private forum and one of your fellow mums-to-be will private message you the password. Please do sign up to the weekly pregnancy emails - you can do that by adding your pregnancy in your profile (you can also add your scan pictures when you have one and bubs will be there every time you login to the website). | Due 10th August with an early test that came up straight away today! But have been through a m/c on our 1st TTC month this year, July. Have already got a 17 month old. Hoping this one is another sticky! So excited to have two bubbas! Good luck to all. |

Looks like I could well be in here. BFP last few days and def clear this morning! Will get bloods done early next week as AF isn't due until Tue/Wed. So surprised with early result. Hi Sharon, Welcome to Aug 14! :) I'm due 19-8-14. Had my bloods done yesterday but haven't heard anything yet. My doctor gave me some advice for sickness. He said to boil up some tea in a pot on the stove and grate some ginger into it. He reckons it works ok. I wasn't feeling too great this morning to be honest. I found last pregnancy that I had a glass of fresh orange juice always made me feel better and a piece of toast. If I had nothing i'd feel way worse. Needed something in my tummy, but always felt sick thinking about food! So juice on hand was good. Haven't heard about any private threads for this group yet btw. Thank you so much for that. Its my first pregnancy so its all so new to me. I found out i was pregnant on Monday after being quite sick sunday night came out of the blue haha. 2 home tests on monday then doctors Tuesday and she did another urine test and then sent me for bloods, the 3 urine tests were all positive and the bloods gave me the confirmation. I cant have milk it makes me really sick :( which sux cos I love cereal lol. I am also finding if I have nothing to eat I feel worse. I am also wondering if I could be further along than I think with how sick I am getting. Can morning sickness come on quite early for some? |

Yep, I was feeling a bit nauseous between ovulation and before my period was 'late' so very early - ie about 3 weeks preg onwards. I am not feeling like cereal at the moment either so marmite on toast it is for me. I used to get way worse from about weeks 5/6-12. And would keep some dry biscuits by my bed and as soon as I woke up i'd have them otherwise if I waited i'd feel ill. But my magic cure was orange juice, but I craved oranges right through my pregnancy until the last few months. Haven't heard anything back about the private group yet. Sent friend request to you Lease. also just a word of warning, you might want to get people to private message you for details for the Facebook add as well rather than posting your FB link. I'm just a bit cautious coz when I was in the due in August '12 group there were a few loony's hanging around. One chick even pretended she was preggo and she wasn't even. She was in all sorts of threads! Just to make the security a bit tighter. | Re: Nausea, I'm experiencing it terribly too but have been recommended B6 (50g-100g a day), apparently some people have amazing results with it, also banana first thing upon waking, and ginger - ginger, lemon, honey drink is yum anyway! |

| hi :) im due about aug 15 at this stage , last two pregnancys ended in M/C so my partner and I are praying for a beautifully successful pregnancy this time around, I have a 2 year old daughter and before her I M/C my very first pregnancy. it feel so amazing to be in this group :-) thanks lease for telling me about it, im very new to the forum chatting , but I feel blessed to be part of this group . so far for preg symptoms I have just been wiped of any energy lol, it feels like im dragging a tonne of bricks around all day. had a teeny bit of nausea but not enough to complain about and one breast is sensitive lol just one! im hoping all symptoms hit me soon so I can feel relieved that its all go from here :). |

Just found out last night that I'm preggers with #2 (my daughter is 14 months old), kinda a surprise but kinda not seeing as we weren't actively trying but weren't actively preventing either. Have no idea when I'm due as I can't remember my last AF but it was sometime early November so I'm guessing mid August-ish so about 7-ish weeks now. Will get a dating scan done when I can and hopefully by then I'll be nearly out of the first trimester! I'm horrible at keeping secrets haha! HI EVERYONE I am hoping someone here has set up a private facebook group??? My BEST Friend has just fallen pregnant and is due in August. I have a 2month old and had a private facebook group of October due mums in Auz and NZ and it has gotten majority of us through hard times, we can post anything and it's completely private. Does one of you one to set that up then let me know so I can tell my best friend? Hi ladies, congratulations everyone! This is our 2nd baby (after m/c last yr). Due on 27th August, but went 2wks over with DS (7yrs old) so could be a September baby, still very excited. We are just about to relocate from the UK to Auckland (yikes!) so I could really do with some help to settle in and find the right care/services. From what I understand maternity services in NZ are better than here so I'm thrilled about that. How do you go about finding a LMC? DS is enrolled in school in Remeura so we're looking at living in the Eastern Bays area. I'd like to join the private group/Facebook group if someone could send me the details. Thanks |

How are you going mrs I? My nausea seems to have gone last 2 days but not jumping up and down just yet I case it returns! I Feel rather fat at the mo. Not sure if it's baby weight or something's gone straight to my tum! Oh well. Few more weeks to wait for scan. | Hi Mrs ImPatient. As this is my first I wasn't sure what I was allowed to do or not - my GP suggested a wheat bag but to be honest that hasn't been effective at all. I have my first midwife meeting on Thursday so I will talk to her more about it then. I've never tried acupuncture, definitely did not think about that as an option while pregnant.. It's safe? Im very keen to try anything because some mornings I can't even move myself out of bed. Thank you :) |
