well, that sounds more dramatic than what actually happened. jake and I went grocery shopping and were coming home. Was about to pull in the drive way and smacked into a car who was overatking me. technically my fault as I should have indicated earlier, but when i did indicatce she was already beside me and didn't see, and I didn't see her in my rear view cause she came around the corner and then was next to me. So my first accident!

Luckily we were all fine. her car is scraped a bit but she said not to worry as she was having work done on it anyway, and her dad was paying! As for us, I smashed the front indicator which hopefully won't cost a lot to fix. But it was 4 hours agao and I am still shaken by it. Had to go to playcentre afterwards and had a coffee - decided after talking to the other mu7ms we might have a bottle of medicinal brandy in the first aid kit for emergencies such as these!

on the way home was thinking that for an accident it was pretty minor, but gosh it makes me think how on earth I'd be after something major!

Liz good to here you are all ok. I had an accident earlier this year and it really does shake you up. I drove away from it to DH in tears and he was more worried about me than the car.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

oh liz, good to hear that it wasn't more serious. i know what you mean about being shaken up. when i crashed, mikey was only 8 days old and i was so scared, i just couldn't stop shaking and crying. it's funny how shock gets you.

Ooo scary! I'm glad to hear it was a minor accident and no one got hurt!

I crashed my mum's car when I was about 17... still freaks me out how close it was to being a major accident! (Wrote the car off - VERY lucky I didn't flip it.)

ETA - And geez, that was when I was babyless! I can't imagine how freaky it'd be crashing with a babe in the car Hope you feel better soon Liz.

Are insured?? At the very least I'd say you are both liable but I *think* the majority of responsibilty rests with the overtaking car....I could be wrong...it's been some years since I worked in insurance!!

Big hugs to you!
