The last 3 mornings in a row Rhiannon has woken between 12am-3am and wont go back to sleep unless i am holding her...and if i put her back in her cot she wakes up again within 5 mins....so for the past 3 nights ive ended up sleeping on the couch..

this is drving me up the wall....i wish those blardy teeth would come through...poor girl...must be really painful...but mummy is getting short on patience...

oh you poor things, i know what it's like.
when mikey was teething he was such a rotter that i had to keep telling myself over and over again "it's not his fault, he's in pain".
hopefully those teeth will come through soon and you can all get some much needed rest.

Awwww, big hugs for you! Emma Rose did this the entire time we were in America (from when she was 4.5 months to 6 months old), and those two bottom teeth came in the week after we returned. Drove me insane too. Do you have anyone who could get up with Rhiannon for you, even just one night, to give you a break? Does Bonjela or Panadol help her at all? Poor little one. We are sending you BIG, giant hugs and wishes for lots of sleep!

I can soooo relate to you Anastasia has been doing the same butI don't think we have teeth to blame, just going thru that clingy stage. When I leave her room or just leave her to see if she will settle she screams down the house thankfully Ashlyn hasnt been woken with it yet. Last two nights I have gone in and picked her up, hummed to her to settle her (from the gasping for breath between crying). Then, hard on the back but its been getting better, still cuddle her nice and tight but lean over cot so she is standing. She starts off again but then relises Im still there and holding her, still humming to her, then slowly work her down to sitting then lying while slowly letting the grip loosen, then just patting her on the back while covering her up, still humming - getting sore throat by now - and slowly she settles back down to sleep. It took less time last night. At 11.30 I didnt feed her and at 3ish I gave her a top up and did the same thing, its getting eaiser but still takes it out of us both. She then slept till just before 8am when Ashlyn went into her room and woke her, never mind, managed to get a couple of hours between wakeing Karl so send him off to work and everything else. Good luck kazzel, maybe try panadol and see if that helps get her into a deeper sleep.

Good on you Kezplanet sounds like you've got your daughter all figured out!

Kazzle I was wondering if she would go to sleep on your tummy if you just snuck back to bed with her? Yep I've done it before - I'd do anything for good sleep sometimes!!

thanks guys.

I am going to set up the spare bed tonight so if she wakes i can hope into that with her, and as its a double i can put a pillow by the wall, put her by the pillow and still have lots of room to sleep.

pamol hasnt worked and she doesnt like the bonjela.

funnily enough she is fine during the day it jsut seems to be the early morning

We are having the same trouble with Alex....they are taking forever to come through. In the end we decided to bring him into our bed as that seems to comfort him and lets us all sleep. We might be creating a problem for later but will deal with that when it happens. Alex now grizzles in his sleep and although he stays asleep it does wakes us up
