Sorry if this has been discussed somewhere else already!

I am picking up a friend from the airport in a week's time. She has a 6 month old baby, and is bringing her own car seat.

The trouble is, I have a hatchback car and I can't spot anything that looks like an anchor point.

Any tips for me?

Have you looked on the floor in the boot? Sometimes that's where they are in hatches. Or sometimes there is just a hole/space for them and you have to screw in the bolt part that came with the carseat.

Or sometimes there is absolutely nothing.

So check if she has a full on carseat or is still using a capsule... with a capsule you don't need a tether strap.

I must admit to giving up on the tether strap on short journeys when there was no anchor point.

I didn't even have a tether point in my Polo

My new car is a people mover so has plenty!

Our carseat has a tether strap but said in the instructions to not tie it down in some circumstances, eg if more dangerous that way. I wouldn't worry about it.
