Sorry if this has been discussed somewhere else already!
I am picking up a friend from the airport in a week's time. She has a 6 month old baby, and is bringing her own car seat. The trouble is, I have a hatchback car and I can't spot anything that looks like an anchor point. Any tips for me? |

Have you looked on the floor in the boot? Sometimes that's where they are in hatches. Or sometimes there is just a hole/space for them and you have to screw in the bolt part that came with the carseat. -------------  Maya Grace (28/02/03)

Or sometimes there is absolutely nothing.
So check if she has a full on carseat or is still using a capsule... with a capsule you don't need a tether strap. I must admit to giving up on the tether strap on short journeys when there was no anchor point.

Our carseat has a tether strap but said in the instructions to not tie it down in some circumstances, eg if more dangerous that way. I wouldn't worry about it. ------------- |
