Hey was just wondering if anyone knows how to get into that? Am interested in getting Aston into it since everyone thinks he'd be good at it, just not sure where im meant to start at? Plus im in Hamilton not Auckland so maybe there is no where down here to do that??? Any advice from anyone who may know be good!
Thanks

I applied for Erin to be a baby model for The Baby Factory via their website. They got back to me within a couple of days, but sadly their next catalogue is full... they are keeping us on file though for any future photo shoots. I think Little Treasures did something similar a while back, or you could just start looking up modelling agencies on the web and see which ones do infants / babies / kids etc - mind you... that could be expensive rather than earn you cash at first !

Jake did some baby modelling in Japan which was a really nice little earner. the problem is, you have to go to auditions first-mostly just to see if your bub can fit the clothes, and that he/she won't burst into tears at the sight of a stranger. after that you get a call back usually and then you do the shoot. They usuallyu lasty two or three hours, but can be longer with older kids. Some of the parents are full-on into it, which can be really scarey...try not to make eye contact. I would say living in auckland and being a SAHM is a must

I think my babies are cute enough, shame they scream all the time - no one would want them

well apart from perhaps a small registration fee DO NOT get conned into paying for anything with baby / children model agencies...the rule is if you have to pay them they arent the ones you should be with!
I know a few pumpkin patch and huggies babies - some auditioned and some know people etc...most get paid!
I modelled as a child and teen - got some good money and was the (trying to get this right as i always have to re-ask mum what it was..) - "Lux flakes" baby on the pack for a year...still have the proofs....i was sooo cute!

How did it go?

Well we had our interview today! Went pretty good, as soon as she saw Aston she wanted him no doubt about it! She was so keen that she said if anything comes up in the next couple of weeks even before we register she would let us know!! It will cost us a one off $65 for the profile but thats it then they do all the work for us from there.
The company is based in Hamilton but they do alot of work for television ads, places like Shortland St. umm Billboards etc.Alot of the stuff is in Auckland but they do alot for local stuff in hamilton aswell which is quite good. And if we are used as a back up baby and have to go travel where ever they still pay reguardless. Also if we have to fly somewhere they pay for our flight, accomadation etc.
Oh and she said that Pumpkin Patch get there models by seeing babies in malls etc and approaching them saying there baby looks cute will they be interested blah blah blah and thats how they get there models. She also said they dont get paid for it as every one wants there baby to be in Pumpkin Patch so yeah.
Do any of you remember the mastercard ad where the little baby gets his heel pricked?? That baby was registered at this place and got paid a whoopping $1,800 for that ad!! Amazing aye!!

Maya has been asked to do Patch a couple of times, only because my Dad knows their marketing team, but I never got around to it... bad mother I know - she so has the right personality for it
