| How do you tell if your nipples are cracked? For the past couple of weeks bfing has become very painful so I'm thinking I have cracks but I can't see any and Jack hasn't changed his positioning or anything. Any ideas whats going on? |

Hmmm I wouldn't expect that you have cracked nipples with an 11mo. Is he sucking harder now that he's older? Are your nipples more sensitive with baby #2 on the way?
As for cracked nipples, I had these in the first couple of weeks after Briona came along. My mw gave me some gel strip that they use for major burns treatments. It cooled and softened my nipples up a treat! Apparently it's a bit expensive but sorry I was still under mw care so I don't know how much it cost. There are a lot of creams available too but I haven't had any experience with those. Have you got a mw appointment coming up soon for your new bubba? You could ask her then? -------------  |

Yeah I had cracks at the start with Jack too and thats what it feels like now so I thought it might be the same thing. Good idea with the creams I'll dig out the stuff I had with Jack.
Yeah my nips are a bit more sensitive so it could be that I hope its not it really hurts. Midwife not for another month. |

Ouch! I knew mine were cracked because they bled. Yuk. But the bruises were a little less obvious at the time. Hope yours come right soon - sore nipples are no fun, eh. ------------- Andie |
