Yep, the hag has shown, lucky me only got 5 weeks off by the time the PP bleeding stopped 
Anyways, my question is this: I had 2 days of spotting, then one day of nothing at all and today a bit of cramping and a sudden gush. What is up with that? Is it normal or should I be worried that not all of the placenta etc. did come away even tho the scan looked OK? ETA: after Maya I never had AF till 4 mths and it was a 'normal' prepregnancy one. -------------  Maya Grace (28/02/03)

I think the first one or two can be a bit weird as your body cleans out and all that stuff, they are usually heavier with/without smallish clots. I suspect it will come to "normal" by the end of the week and next time around you'll be sweet.
I'm not sure if you're taking any contracaeption that may change all that, so just presuming that you aren't. ------------- |

for me i stopped bleeding when kayla was between 6-7 weeks. i started spotting on 14th november (kayla was 3 months) and it would last a day or two then stop, then start up again a few days to a week later and it did it until yesterday, got a great christmas present from my body- the real thing. and its yuck too. i have been really uncomfortable, bloaty and crampy for the last 6 weeks since the spotting started, feel like tucking up in bed

My first couple of periods were quite heavy but it seems to be settling down again now back more to what it used to be like.

I had PP bleeding for about 10 weeks, then 1 week off, then AF made an appearance (I think .. still not sure really) tht was back in sept. I was like you - a bit of spotting for a few days, a day of full on AF, then nothing for 2 days and so on. Lasted 2 weeks!
Anyway, was on the verge of calling the doctor to check with them, when it went away completely and AF didn't return until November. NOw have it again and things are much more normal. ------------- Selina http://lilypie.com">

Thanks for that. Today is day 5 and a few more spots but nothing like a normal AF at all. And nope, no contraception here - thinking about having the IUD put in but haven't made a decision yet. ------------- Maya Grace (28/02/03)

I had exactly the same thing Emma, my first AF was right after the 5 weeks of lochia had cleared to nothing and it was crampy and horrible and totally bright red, I was freaking out as my scar was hurting like it has never hurt before. I always had heavy anway, but after Paris i found i got it really heavy, and felt horrible.
After having Ayja i am worse again.. usually have 1st day ok-ish, 2nd day I usually try to not go anywhere or do anything, just stick near home can go through half a pack or more of supers that day. then on from there.. nothing less that 8 days. Sometimes i just think that maybe instead of mike doing the vastectomy thing i should just get it all taken out (lol, but know that would still have it's own problems..lol) It's getting expensive... i only hope my girls don't suffer the same as i do when they get older. All my other sisters don't cos they were on the pill for so long, even though they don't take it now, it's still 2 days for them that's all.. kinda jealous but can't take the pill etc. Sucks that you didn't get much break though Emma. hope it settles down for you.. horrible when you have babies to look after.. it's the last thing you want to have to deal with!. ------------- Janine and her 2 cool chicks, Paris & Ayja
