Has anyone taken this in their last few weeks of pregnancy? and did they think it helped in any way?? ------------- I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived! |

Hi Becks,
I took evening primrose in this last pregnancy with Benjy after a friend told me she'd used it in her first pregnancy and had no tears. I had no tears this time round (had a complicated tear first time) and recommended it to another first time preggy friend who had no tears either, in a 30 hour ventousse delivery. Of course it might not all be down to the EPO but even if its coincidence it can't hurt either  plus it can help ripen up the cervix for labour.
Oh, I took it up the fufu morning and night from 36 weeks. Wear a panty liner though, as it does leak out a bit. ------------- Mel, Mummy to E: 6, B: 4 and:

Yep i used EPO. Up the fufu from about 37weeks. Im pretty sure it helped with ripening my cervix. I only used it at night and with my granny undies on as its not the nicest.

I used EPO but took it the usual way, with a big glass of water  I didn't tear too badly, and when my m/w did a stretch and sweep for me she said my cervix was "nice and ripe" LOL------------- Jacquie - Mama to Erin, 13.07.06 - Chief Cat Chaser & Marmite Sammie Eater
