Not to do renovations in jandels. I stood on a nail just before and it went through my foot. It hurts...a lot .
And now, how do I get blood out of the nicely cleaned carpets???

It has a dull throbbing pain where it went in. I have taken a couple of panadol so hopefully that will dull the pain down a bit.

Yeah I was wondering about that too - I think you might want to enquire with your midwife as to whether or not you need a tetanus injection after your run in with the nail? I don't know whether they are safe when preggy or not, or whether there is something else they would get you to do.

Well my MW doesn't think I should have the injection but she said to ask my GP just to make sure. But on a public holiday I ain't wasting $50 to be told I can't have one. Where it went in is clean - still a little sore (but it did have a nail go in it so it should be) but not as bad as last night.

Nope it was slighty rusty but then that could have been my blood. I'll go by what my MW says for now just to save the $$$ and time going up to the public hospital.

Good idea Becks.... I meant to write savlon cream and a sticky in the meantime, in my post above. ie. until you get to see the Doc (I wouldn't have gone on a public hol either.)

Well my nurse friend told me I shouldn't have a tetanus shot while pregnant, there isn't enough research to say if it s safe or not. The pain has gone away and I tried to have a good look at it before (huge tummy in the way and all) and I couldn't see all that much so it must be all good. My mum rang me back and told me I probably had my last tetanus shot in 1998 or 99 so I should be safe with it. If it gets worse i'll take a trip to the dr. I see my MW on Thursday so i'll ask her again about it if it gets sore.
