Ok ladies i need your help. I am starting to look around at venues for my 25th which is right at the beginning of may. Im having a theme and want a nice venue for a decent price. Any ideas??

I have contacted the duxton already. So any others? Ones u have been to for such an event?

for your theme, have you tried any of the historical buildings in Wellington? Some might rent out function rooms?!!? Probably call either the council or historical places trust

What about the place they have just done up... St Andrews or whatever. I have heard it is really nice and they might have some smaller rooms...?

How many people are coming and what is your theme? Will it be a sit down meal or do you need room to walk around? Will you want to bring your own food or have it provided?

Im open to anything the theme is gonna be victorian which is like the big dresses etc.

What size venue do you need?

Museum of city & sea? (not Te Papa, but the Maritime Museum, near Queens Wharf). Been to an even there - not similar theme, but lots of lovely polished wood, which could maybe work.
The Embassy? The upstairs part can be cordoned off.
Oooo, and one AMAZING function I went to was actually on the stage at the Opera House (probably quite expensive though). Was incredible.
