You might want to let your midwife know about the swelling, I'm not sure on how to get it down sorry - but know that it can sometimes be an indicator of pre-eclampsia. At least if you give her a call she might have some more useful advice than mine !

Pre eclampsia is at the back of my mind I had it last time. But i''m at work until 1pm so can't go anywhere to get it checked out. Its mostly my feet that really hurt.

Hope work isn't busy for you then! Why don't you just text Janet and ask her what will relieve the pain in your feet or help it go down a bit?

Nope it is dead as, I don't even know why we are opened. Not a silly idea I'll send her a txt. my only fear is she says i'll meet you up at the hospital, as she knows my history.

I would need to invest in new togs first lol, my bottoms don't fit my butt properly now so I'd have like a builders crack (not good! lol) and I know there would be no way my boardies would fit either hehehe

I've got them up as far as I can and as I had to have a shower at work I have a damp cold towel which I have wrapped around them. I can't remember my feet hurting this much last time. Last time the swelling was in my hands and face which set me down the PET track.

if you have a fridge and moisturiser there put the moisturiser in the fridge and then rub it on your feet when its cool that used to help my feet when they were swollen

Thanks for that idea Rach, I don't ahve any on me at work other than my Holiday Skin (and I don't want to put that all over my feet) so once I get home i'll put some plain stuff in the fridge.

My BP is fine 120/75 so nothing happening with me. I do feel horrible thou. I have had pains all day and they haven't gone away even resting, walking and having a bath (so happy about that one) so maybe i'm getting ready to have this child. The worst pain I have had is right in by my cervix (sorry TMI) it feels like something is hapening down there but i'm a bit too scared to have a feel (probably as I don't know what i'm feeling for). I have one day left (tomorrow) at work and then its just one assignment to do and then resting. I really want this child out now so maybe I won't be doing all that much resting .

lol I definitely hear you on that one! I'm glad things are okay but for all the pains and stuff. Hopefully baby is engaging or moving and it will settle down soon.

Well the swelling hasn't gone , in some ways I think it is getting worse. The pain in my cervix is heating up again so maybe its trying to tell me something. If my BP was up a little then other checks would be done, but no its in the normal range.

I may do that if my BP gets up a bit. DH can take that for me, which my MW liked last time so she didn't have to come and see me everyday she rang and gave her the numbers and descisions were done that way. I'm thinking the swelling is just a part of pregnancy - I would normally blame the heat but it is so not hot here (well not for me) so I can't do that.

It's hot today! Paddling pool for your feet with Andrew?

I'm going to the pool tomorrow as I have read somewhere that exercise in the pool is good for you. I didn't have Andrew this afternoon, my dad rang me at work asking if he could have him for the afternoon - just what my mum wanted - they had him for a good 3 hours. I would have to find his pool.

Alot better as I went to the pool and did aqua areobics first thing this morning after dropping Andrew off at daycare. I was talking with the instuctor and she said the exercise in the pool will help with the swelling. I'm pulling my foot spa out tonight and using some stuff I got for xmas in it that is meant to hel pwith tired feet so that may work - fingers crossed.

Its not working and I feel like its getting worse now. I think its time I bit the bullet and rung my MW. Have to wait for Andrew to wake up now as I have finally got him to sleep.

Well i wasn't able to see my MW as she had 1 lady in labour and then ended up delivering 3 babies last night. I dodn't get in contact with her today as I took a trip down to Wellington to do some shopping. Feet are still pretty bad so are the hands but my face has settled a little. If it flares up i'll get in contact with her tomorrow after she has had a chance to have a sleep.

Well after I finished up my assignment and then took it out to Massey I was stuffed so I had a sleep instead. DH noticed that my feet are quite swollen so is trying to make my rest up. Very hard thing to do when you want to do things.
