Grrr, we took out our bathroom on Monday thinking that all we would have to do is line the walls and put everything back in (well all the new stuff back in). But no we have had problem after problem with it. We have had to shower at my parents and DH's parent place the past week, and I showered at work this morning. Andrew thinks its great and he loves the buidling and construction going on in there but I have had enough. If my sister wasn't at my parents place I would go and live out there until it is finished.

Bathrooms are one of the most annoying and tricky parts to renovate. But you will be glad you have done it when it's all finished!!!!

I really want to have our bathroom re-done especially as we don't have a bathtub, and it's a pain sometimes to wash Erin in the shower, but yeah... have heard lots of horror stories about bathroom reno's in particular !

And it doesn't help that our house was built in the 1920's either. I'm sure the bath will be working when I get home, its a very deep one so i'm loking forward to that.

I have heard the horror stories as well, we haven't had anything really bad happen yet "touch wood"

One good thing about it is the rimu tongue and groove we found behind the horrible wallboard that had been put up. About 500 metres of it so we could make a small fortune out of that.

Try living with two kids in a contruction zone that DH insists on doing himself. I am so over it. Not so much the construction but we don't get a lot of family time together.

Well I have a bath and its a very deep one. The shower is going but we still have to put the ceretone up around the shower before we can use it and that is tonights job for us. Then we have to get BIL around to do all the electrical work (hes a sparky) and we'll be ablt to use it fine. There are still cosmetic things that have to be done - tiles, wallpaper but they can wait.

Oh it is frustrating! We started gixing up just our toilet last school holidays - replacing the loo, tiling etc - and were without a toilet for almost 5 days. Luckily we live opposite a 24hr service station and could sleep over at the inlaws, but it certainly put me off ripping out bathroom fixtures in a hurry!
