SO I just tried making plum jam. Sounded easy enough in the recipe book! However, now I have a very burnt pot! Anyone know what I put in it to get the chared black remains of burnt plums off the bottom?

I burn lots of stuff!
Oven cleaner in the pot, over night in a plastic bag gets all of my burnie bits off!
(I have a pot *brewing* with some in now!)

If the bicarb doesnt work on its own. Put some white vinegar. It will fizz up and let it stand for the night. Should come right off.

My Dad was so happy with his Jam though, so that was a bonus.
