Just wondering what people think of the Kinderkot.  http://www.kinderkot.com.au/ - http://www.kinderkot.com.au/

I am looking at stocking it, and just wondering if it is the type of portacot people would buy. - I think it looks neat, what do you think?

I thinik it looks neat - BUT does look a little like a suitacse to store your child in! I have no problem with that though!

It does look quite cool, small and easily portable.
I agree with the suitcase thing but it wouldn't put me off either, lol!

I have seen those on trademe before, looks like a good idea for camping, but other than that I'd just use a normal portacot

Nope, I don't have one of those... The pic you saw would have just been of my standard portable cot

I'd feel a bit funny fully enclosing my kid in there but I'd look at it... doesn't seem to have many benefits over a regular portacot (just style) so it would have to be close in price for me to consider buying.

I think one of the main benefits over a normal portacot is the size and weight - it packs down really small like a pop up tent and is very light unlike the  traditional portacot that takes up half your boot and is really too big to fly with etc..

the only reason i have a portocot is because Jake was still in a cot when Taine was born, so we needed two. I wouldn't use the kindercot as a permanent bed, BUT as it's designed purpose, thats really neat. would make camping and tramping a breeze - if I was that way inclined. But price would be a big factor for me as well. I would also really like the enclosed thing for protection from mosquitoes while camping.

we have bought up the smaller versions of that for people to have for bubs at the beach etc (a mat with zipper and mossie net and sun shade)...funnily enough we bought our smaller version at the $2 type shops...and give them out as part of gifts for baby showers etc also...

that looks like a great camper / boat type idea and think they should sell well...i have also seen them on trade me...so someone must be importing them into NZ also...
