i'm sorry, but any one that pays $900 for a push chair needs some help, i can't even get my head around the fact that some one paid $3000 for it new,
sure makes me the humble stay at home mum with no money feel great,
think i might get one for my next baby, my 14 weeks materninty leave should cover the cost of it,, ha ha

But it has a suspension system designed by a race expert, so it must be worth it! I must remember to get one for my next race against formula 1. On foot. Pushing a baby.

Yeah right!

Lol!!!

They're huge over here- every man and their dog has one. A friend of mine does and its cr*p because her almost 2 year old (who is a little guy) is too big for it- the cover/shade part won't go over his head at all. Plus they don't lie flat (they lie back but bubs would still have bended knees) and you have to take the pram part off to fold it down so its takes up heaps of room.

Plus they are sooo last season This is the new one all the celebs are getting now... http://www.stokke.com/product.asp?p=Xplory&la=EN&na=UK&div=C - Stokke

thats the pram i was talking about in another thread - had seen a lady pushing one around and thought it was the one someone had seen at baby factory...ive seen those in the british mags...they look kinda cool space age...and knew we probably didnt have them here...lady i saw still has airline tages on hers...Stokke...too modern for me but kinda funky cool!
Yeah the circles must be sooooo last season....isnt the new trend (ala britney etc) to just carry your bubs around au naturel...no pram no sling no nothing....???

Well, I can see how it would be useful if you had minders to carry your shopping. In the real world, where do you put the stuff you need for the baby, let alone anything else!

I notice that Stokke cots are all the rage as well. They are very nice, but it seems an awful lot of money to spend...I think they are around the $2000 mark or something. the pram is hideous, it looks like one of those big scooter things, segway or whatever they ae called..
sheesh, must be hard to keep up.

Personally, I don't know what you're all complaining about. $3,000 for a pram? No worries! I keep that in my car just for parking meter money.

LOL I had to laugh at this auction. My best mate has one of these prams and she HATES it. The lap bar on the seat doesn't come off, and every time she tries to put her baby in it, she has to manuever him in between the lap bar and the seat and it takes her forever to get him in the right position. The wheely bit does fold flat for transport, but the seat bit that snaps into the wheeled frame doesn't fold down at all, and takes up heaps or room in their boot. And the poster above is right, it doesn't lay completely flat -- the baby's knees are bent even when the seat is laid right back. She curses it all the time! I think she would sell it and get a different one if she hadn't paid so much for it in the first place... Now she feels compelled to get her money's worth!
