The gremlins and I went to see Louise from the Sleep Store yesterday to look at different ways of wrapping the unwrappable Sienna (the baby that won't sleep unwrapped but fights being wrapped tooth and nail).
The whole thing was a bit of a disaster as Sienna has a cold and screamed the whole time we were there, but Louise was great and Mercedes was a very amiable 'wrap test dummy'. Louise showed me a new way of wrapping Sienna that's kind of like a compromise - wrapped but with one arm out so she has a bit of freedom and can suck her fist like she likes to do.
I ended up buying a couple of huuuuge stretch wraps which so far are working really well. Definitely recommend to anyone having sleep issues with bub to drop Louise an email (via our sleep expert section sleep@ohbaby.co.nz). She's given me some really practical advice via email over the past couple of weeks and was very cool, calm and collected despite my screaming mess of a baby.

Glad to hear you finally had some luck with the whole sleeping thing, the gremlings are looking heaps more grown up than when I last saw them, and I couldn't help but have a wee chuckle and poor Sienna - too cute with one arm sticking out

your babies Ems are just gorgeous!!! Alize sounds exactly like Sienna, the whole wants/needs to be wrapped to settle but fights world war 3 to get out, then world war 4 trying to get his thumb into his mouth . I am definitely going to try the leaving one arm out. Thanks for the pics too so I can see how its done .

they look so sweet and peaceful! so glad things are starting to get a bit better with their sleeping.
i emailed louise a while back and she helped me so much with mikey's sleeping. it's thanks to her that he's stopped waking up 5 times a night! i thought she was so good because she gave really practical advice without making me feel like a bad parent who couldn't even get my own child to sleep
those wraps look really great. i love that pink next to sienna's skin, it's gorgeous.
