I'm currently on Telstra cable and the copper network in my area is scheduled to be disconnected in Feb 21.

I received a "Formal Notice" from Telstra outlining the dates and the need to order an NBN service.

Two questions:

1.The last page of the letter has a graph that has "Service ID", "Service Location", "Disconnection Date From" & "Final Order Date".

Am I correct in assuming the date listed under "Final Order Date" is the last day I can order an NBN service and have it connected before the "Final Disconnection Date"?

2. Will my existing cable connection be disconnected as soon as I place the order for the NBN service or will that disconnection occur when the order moves to the provisioning stage?
