We have been away for two weeks. During that time Blake has perfected his roll/crawl and is really strong.

Since being back he has not slept once in his cot as he rolls over his wedge and gets all stuck and screams and gets in a terrible state - which the first night took 5 hours to get him to sleep - and ended up in his pram beside our bed. I tried him in a Safety - Sleep tonight and thought would just let him scream -zWe went in and he was face down going nuts - had rolled in that too.
Im not sure what to do. I have ended up rocking him to sleep tonight then put him in his cot with the safety sleep arund him. But DONT want to be doing that?????

I have no idea what to do or try? Does anyone have any ideas or had the similar thing????

Let him fall asleep on his tum and then go in and roll him back over?

what about not strapping him in until he is fast asleep and letting him fall asleep how ever and in what ever position.

EEEeeek poor you!
Caitlin is doing a similar thing. I let her do her rolling around etc until she's asleep (checking on her all of the time tho) and then when she falls asleep (in whatever position she's got herself into) I put her back on her back and in the safety sleep.
I'm not really sure what you could do if he's turning in the safety sleep other than make it tighter?!?!

Ella started doing that so i tightened her safety sleep. Thing i found tho is when u put them to bed if they have eaten they have HUGE bellies and that digests and that makes the safety sleep loose and they can wriggle then

Krystiana far prefers her tummy as well, I have sort of given in except on the odd occasion when she's fine on her back or side. She usually seems okay so long as there is some pressure on her tummy - not so much the wrapping as a heavyish blanket...hmmm and then you get weather like this.

But I suspect that is no help to you since he is older and the wedge isn't working.

Bugger my post disappeared.. anyway Ashleigh rolls as soon as she is put in her cot if I don't have the safety sleep on her. She also doesn't really like being on her tummy and certainly wouldn't go to sleep like that. I haven't had her roll in the SS though but all I can suggest like Toni is too try and do it up a bit tighter? My problem is when I go out and take the portacot with me, I don't want to have to strip the SS off the bed all the time!!!

I'm glad it's not just my baby that's the wriggley little critter!    I've just had an hour "fight" with her to get her to sleep after her brekkie, rolling around all over the place IN her SS. So I just left it off and now she's fast asleep, horizontal at the top of the cot! I give up!

Jack did this when he was just starting to move around and would always get his legs stuck. I just let him go for it and would go back in when he had fallen alseep and cover him. From memory it didn't take long for him to not get stuck so you might just have to keep going in to push his legs back thru.

I know that some people have different feelings about these but how about trying bumper pads. We have just got some for Ethan because that is exactly what he would do.

We got ours from the Baby Factory I think it cost $30.

Heres a pic:
