Hi all

For you that remember what going in to labour is like - do you have to have a show before the real labour contractions start? I know that a show can, um, show up a couple of weeks before you go in to labour so I guess my question is, can I relax until I have had a show?

Hope that makes sense

you dont always have a show, it can come away during labour. With Kobe I had a show and had him 5 days later, with Addison i was induced and never even saw it, though presumably it did come away at some stage.

Great - I was hoping I could stop worrying about going in to labour until I had def had a show but I should have known that it wouldn't be so straightforward...

Same as with waters really - can be before or during.

I had a show during labour with Maya, and after a stretch and sweep a few days before I was induced with the gremlins.

My show showed on the day I went into labour with Ella, with Benjy I had nothing, no show, no waters, not even an obvious mucous plug!
I guess nothing is definite about how you'll go into labour, sorry!

My mucus plug started to come away about a week before due, I had a stretch & sweep when I was a couple days over due, and no show until I was actually in labour.

I never saw my show, I only knew I was in labour when my waters broke (thankfully at home) so whether my show came at the same time as the waters or during labour I wouldnt ahve a clue.
My ocntractions didnt start for a few hours after the waters breaking.
