YAH! from someone else who only got their learners a year ago!
BTW, i had professional lessons in Palmerston North and wqould thoroughly recommend them. I had YEARS of drivers dread from my parents teaching me to drive("..and if you crash YOULL DIE!!! you are driving a death machine!!!") and they helped alleviate the dread and nervousness. Also, if you get your restircted in an automatic, you can still get your full without the restirction of only driving autos...(get it?) believe me, if I can do it, YOU CAN DO IT!! (also the restricted test is taken on the same route so if you know anyone who has already done it recently, you can get them to show you - i didn't parellel park, or anything like that, 3 point turn was the toughest part) |

CONRATS thats awsome!!! Ive had my learners for 5 yrs and drive myself everywhere (only had 1 ticket lucky i no!!) and have decided im goin to make myself (actually DP will have to make me) get my restricted with my 1st pay im nervous just thinkin about it

i only got my learners a few years ago and ive always been too scared to go for my restricted (i hate tests) but now im so sick of being the only one of my friends (except for my best mate who has arthritis so CANT drive) who relies on others for lifts everywhere. I am very lucky that i could buy a car from my parents and id probably drive it some places illegally (naughty i know) if i had it, but my brother is borrowing it for two weeks. Once i get it back im going to go for some serious driving practice tho..... |

Well done! Just don't leave your restricted for to long. I've had my learners for 6 years and says in a quiet whisper (I drive quite a bit) No I'm to scared to go for my restricted in case I fail I would never hear the end of it, and I'm worried about what bad habits I have picked up.

| I was majorly worried about failing and almost did but managed to explain one of my errors and he saw that what i did was kind of right but anyway just go for it and not tell anyone. its not that hard and the thought of it is probably worse than actually doing it! |
