Sienna is refusing to take her bottle. She hasn't had a decent feed all day. She's happy and smiley and doesn't seem sick, in fact when I put the bottle in her mouth she just grins at me and all the milk dribbles down her chin.

Has anyone else experienced this? What can I do? Am worried about her getting dehydrated, which will increase her risk of kidney infection

Eeek that must be stressful Emma! Will she take milk or boiled water off a spoon? That's what we did when I couldn't feed and Ben refused the bottle, to prevent him dehydrating. He thought it was hilarious but it did get a bit of fluids into him.

Well I have tried a different teat, a sippy cup and some water and the stubborn witch refused to take it and now she is in the cot screaming from being overtired (did I mention she also hasn't slept all day?) and probably from hunger as well.

Well I suspect once she wakes from a sleep like that she will probably enjoy the soothing feeling of feeding.... or at least I hope so!

i hope things are better now emma??
jack went through a faze of refusing the bottle when he was about sienna's age, would just look at you and laugh and play with it.....he snapped out of it one day about a month later.
but, as he was bf at the time it was ok.   sorry, that doesn't really help you much does it
