i wouldnt be able to go if it was in auckland way too much money for us at the moment (throwing in a couple of nights accom. just to get there, then accom. once there ferry tickets etc, petrol...) if too many non-aucklanders cant meet up in auckland we could still do a meet in welly or palmy, its harder for us others who dont live near to meet and make arrangements. so my vote is still welly or palmy although i have nothing against auckland just not doable for many of us. and i hope i havent offended anyone!

it's great that you gys are willing to meet in the middle.
Seriously how many Auckland ladies would be able to make it down to somehwere like Welly so that it's a bit more accessible and fair for all.. otherwise it might as well just be another auckland meet-up on it's own because so many from lower down wouldn't be able to make it. I mean obviously if you live in auckland that would be your top choice.. bu thinking of everyone and what the whole meet up is about... who could seriously come down if they had to?

No matter where we meet some people will have to travel and some won't. What if the people who don't have to travel help contibute $$$ to help the others out (maybe help to pay for accommodation/petrol etc), or is that just complicatiing things more?

he he sounds good, a mass birthday party.
Went to payless plastics here in palmy today and they have a great range of kids party stuff - oh i could go crazy, but now use since ayja's is at mcd's this year. i saw the cutest little butterflystuff, but hello, miss ayja is still stuck on "Elmo Burfday cake!"

OK - any more for anymore? Anyone else who wants to vote on where to have it speak now! Otherwise I will close the topic tonight and do a tally up.
Those of you who can't get to Auckland, is Palmy or Wellington more accessible, or will you not be able to make it at all? Just in the interests of working out who is definitely going to go...

i would go in welly or palmy happily, but im out if it is labour weekend already have plans. ANY other weekend or month i could but OCTOBER in general isnt good for me or my family, with two 5th birthdays (my oldest girl and my nephew), weddings, family visiting from overseas- ooh and my school reunion is labour weekend,so not good. and that makes me really sad cause i am mega keen, but i am just one person still sad if i miss out though.
is it definatly going to be labour weekend????? poopy pants.

I'm happy wherever it is. I figure it makes the most sense to go where most of the people are - whether that be Auckland or lower north island...
If it ends up in Auckland, could some of the cash strapped lower north island mums drive up together? I'd be more than happy to have someone else drive up with me. And if we all stayed at someones house that would make it cheaper too.
I like the idea of a mass birthday party Liz - mainly cos then I dont have to organise anything here!
