Ok so had read this ages ago in a magazine...and then mums comment tonight reminded me of it...

is it true that a total breech bubs will not want to be put down as much?? Has anyone experienced this? Im thinking i may need to kangaroo her around or front pack etc her around the house to settle...should i prepare for this??? (eg - buy a pack!!!)

anyone else had breech bubs and experienced this??? or have advice ready for me....

Isn't her breech preference more likely to be caused by your uterus shape Bombshell? In which case once she's out she'll be fine?

we dont know anymore cause she has stretched the uterus beyond normal...seriously she has created more room than she should have with this condition....and was head down around week 28 or 29 too...and is moving side to side etc big time...so not sure the bicornuate is the problem...stubborness maybe!!!

She has astounded the radiographers and the specialist with what she has done considering the intial risks!

Dh and i decided this morning that she will just refuse to conform....our own faults for being that way too i guess!!!

jack was breech and he was the easiest baby ever! he was sleeping through at 6wks and would settle himself really well at sleeptimes.

yep totally old wives tale as Rhyley was breech - bum down and he too like his knee up to his chest for the first couple of weeks and he is a cuddly baby but he has been my easiest and the one who settles easy, goes to sleep on his own, sleeps well day and night (he was sleeping thru at 7 weeks).
So nope you 'll be fine. besides nothing wrong with a cuddly belly.

LOl ok so sounds like maybe worst thing could be a knees up bubba...thats fine!!!!

Have fingers crossed she will be able to go down no worries once she is here...our theory is she doesnt like being upside down - might have to test that out in a few months time!!!

Maybe she's just super-intelligent I mean, who wants to screw up and hang upside down for months on end?!!!

Mercedes was/is a knees up baby despite being head down from around 28 weeks. Before that she was breech and Sienna was head down. It's apparently to do with the hips and more breech bubs have probs with clicky hips than had down babies.

Haven't heard about the putting down thing, but IMHO that's a learned behaviour. If they learn to settle on their own from early on then they won't want to be lugged around all the time. Just a thought, and plenty of people prefer attachment parentinga nd it works for them, but I'm not really into it. None of my babies have been hicky-hicky babies and I suspect that's coz they've been put in their cots to sleep from day one...
