Yesterday my acupuncturist told me that Ponstan (taken for period pain) can interfere with fertility. I've just done some research and found:
"Female fertility:
The use of mefenamic acid (Ponstan) may impair female fertility and is not recommended in women
attempting to conceive. In woman who have difficulties conceiving or who are undergoing
investigation of infertility, withdrawal of mefenamic acid should be considered." - www.mhra.gov.uk/home/idcplg?IdcService=GET_FILE&dID=30265&noSaveAs=0&Rendition=WEB -

I use it and I got knocked up I have heard that it's not good for you, but it's the only pain reliever that works for me, hardly use it now as I try and exercise around the time my period is due.

Ponstan does nothing for me either Jess. I take Naproxen sometimes and seems to take the edge of things unless its really bad (in which case I just go cry in bed with a wheat pack and copious amounts of chocolate).
I always check with my doctor before taking any meds now to see if it affects TTC (Paranoia set in loonnnggg ago).

Anyone asthmatic...?
Apparently (I got this from a nurse with endo) taking a few huffs of ventolin can really help take the edge off ...ventolin being a muscle relaxant.
