I have just found out that it is me that has been making rhiannon sick...about 3mths ago she had a bad gastro bug and almost ended up in hospital...what no one told me was that it would probably take up to 6mths for Rhiannons stomach to completely recover.

So every time i have tried to introduce whole milk or yoghurt with cream in it...it has set off the bug again.

hench the really sh*tty nappies for the past 4 weeks.

I have now been told...that she cant have whole milk until she is 18mths old...and that i have to give hr some foods with salt in them to give some balance and some watered down ribena to help get her sugar levels up.

I am such a bad mummy, i am so upset that no one told me this...and for the past month its been what ive been doing thats been making her sick.

You are not a bad mum!!! They should have told you everything, it is not your fault. I actually can't believe they did not tell you not to give her certain foods, that is really bad on their behalf. Don't feel you are a bad mum because you are a terrific mum!!

Chin up honey, don't feel bad. Lots of coming your way.

At least you know now. And I would blame them. They should have told you this.

Kazzle, you are not a bad mum, no one had told you that it was making her sick so you were only doing what you thought was right.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

What everyone else said! How frustrating, they definitely should have made that clear to you at the time.

Aw Kaz! Each one of us would have done the same thing!! So don't think you are a bad mum at all! You are fab

Hope Rhiannon feels better soon and just focus on the fact that you did find out what was wrong and can now do something to make it better

Big hugs Kazz. Gosh, if I listed all the shocking things I've done to my kids BY ACCIDENT, CYPS would be around. Only recently I found out that you shouldn't give weetbix to babies - Taine had it since six months old - so it's more luck than anything that THAT didn't make him sick.
