Well just when i thought she was getting better we ended up being admitted again last night...we went through about 15 nappies yesterday...so back on the nasal drip she went.
and today the doctor told us that she could be lactose intolerant so they are trying her on different forumla. mum and dad are with her at the moment at the hospital so kent and i could catch our breaths. not sure if we will be home tonight or tomorrow but now at least i know what is going on. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

thanks guys, your well wishes mean so much.
We are now home...and on a new forumla called Pepti-junior...and she is to stay on this for 6mths...and they reckon that she will out grow being lactose intolerant. She has had 4 bottles already today...and is so happy to be home. While she had the nasal drip in we had to put mittens on her...well this afternoon i took the mittens off so she could have a bikkie..and 5 seconds later the nasal tube was on the bed...man she was so quick...and there were 4 adults watching her and none of us catch her doing it. anyway at least we are home now...and hopefully we dont have to go back...but if we do at least i know the game plan ------------- http://lilypie.com">

| Kaz did the hospital pead apply for your govt funding number for the pepti jnr? if youre not sure you need to follow that up otherwise itll cost a bomb..as opposed to $8 a tin.. ($8 a tin is with the number + script) just fyi |

She is great this morning...has had breakfast of 1.5 pieces of toast and some water...and is happily playing in her toy box and making a huge mess...lol
is all smiles and has the colour back in her cheeks.. our biggest problem is now getting her back into routine...she screams when we put her to bed at night unless she goes to sleep on us...and we had just broken that habit... Last time it only took us 3 nights...but i feel guilty about doing that again so soon after being in hospital...i did try last night...but after 15mins of screaming i couldnt take it anymore and ended up sitting with her until she went to sleep 20mins later. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

Glad to hear Rhiannon is doing much better! If your funding # hasn't come thru yet get your GP to give them a call and they will put a rush on it - I did that with Mercedes, because it's formula they're usually super helpful about speeding up the process (it usually takes 10 working days )
We had settling issues with Maya when we brought her home from hospital (altho she had 9 days in so was well and truly out of routine) and it was a mission getting her settled again. One night she screamed for over 2 hours, with me feeling like the worst mother ever the whole time, but within a couple of days she was back to her normal sleep patterns. ------------- Maya Grace (28/02/03)

Just had to catch up with it all - sounds like it has been a bit of a trial these past few weeks.
I hope things continue to improve and Rhiannon gets back to being her happy self - the sleep thing already sounds like it is sorting itself out
