does anyone know what these are?
Gabriella has one between eyes above bridge of nose - hers is about 4-5 small red dots in a fishing hook type pattern...I didnt know what it was called until a lady at my old workplace yest looked at her and said she had a stork mark like her daughter had.
how long do they take to fade? anyone know what causes them? I had thought it might be a birth mark to start with.

Ashlee has a couple on her forehead and one on the nape of her neck. The forehead ones were really obvious when firstborn, but now they only tend to be obvious when she cries. Like others have said, they do fade and are extremely common

All my kids had them... the old wives tale is that the marks are where the stork's beak gripped the baby's head as the bird delivered them to the parents!

yep both my girls had them. Because Alyssa is quite fair hers were more pronounced and the ones at the back of her head on her hairline didnt go away till she was well over a year old.

mikey had one near his eye, at first it was really noticable and then it started to fade and only show up when he got angry or when he cried but i think it was completely gone by the time he was about 9 months old.

ok so more common that i realised....i guessed it would fade and seems it goes between about 6 - 9 months so that is ok...you cant really notice it in photos...and it kinda has character really.
she also has a strawberry birthmark on back on neck just inside her hairline...but that is a family thing on my side as mum, her mum and my gt grandma all had the same mark..and she actually looks a lot like them to be honest.
i like the stork story - cute really!

Sienna's got a couple on her left eyelid, they've faded a lot but when they were first born they were the only way I could tell the gremlins apart!

Ashleigh has one on her forehead too. Like everyone says very common and hers isn't noticable at all now except when red with crying/pooing etc and when tired!
