What is the NZ equivalent of a pot roast? Would it be silverside or something else?

I don't really do anything flash, I just throw the meat (do you know the ones I mean, with the sticks thru them an a net round the outside?) into the slow cooker, add water till it comes midway up to the top of the meat, throw in a Tbspoon of vinegar and a chopped onion and turn it on auto for a few hours. Makes a lovely tender roast.

No just for my family. But twice a week i go to Netball and i dont get home to late and i figure on those nights i can use the slow cooker thingy so that there will be dinner for JK when he is ready to eat (after tending to Lycan) and some for me when i get home

Thanks Emma

Hehehe Bombshell, nah I was looking through the recipes in the instruction book and 3 of them called for a pot roast, unfortunately none of them sound particularly appetising so luckily Emma could enlighten me as to what it is and how to cook it!

I love my crock pot, it is the bomb, anything that you can make into a casserole just chuck in your crock pot first thing in the morning and it is done by dinner time. My favourite so far has been Coca Cola Chicken OMG *dribble* I might have to make that again sometime soon it was AWESOME!
Also is good for risottos or noodle dishes or even making the mince for your spaghetti bolagnaise.
I think the coca cola recipe was:
1 onion, slice into rings and place at the bottom of the pot.
500gms of chicken (although I just put in however much I was using LOL) put it on top of the onion rings.
1 cup of tomato sauce (I did a half/half with plum YUMMY) pour on chicken.
I can of coke, pour on tomato sauce.

To be honest, I thought it would taste a bit too strong but it came out just right. If you have ever had honey chicken it is sort of like the same thing, but MUCH yummier!
