This was mentioned at coffee gruop this afternoon, but the woman who mentioned starting one, didn't actually know how/what to do to go about it.

Is that where you all get so many hours of babysitting vouchers in your group which you use and exchange with others? Say you had 3 one hour vouchers, if you needed a sitter for one hour you give her one of your vouchers so she can later use it. | a lady in my coffee group was talking about this last week. kind of a different way of doing it but basically there was about 4 of them and they would all get together on a certain day and each week one of them would just leave the kids there and have a day off, so say they all get together from 10-3pm or whatever and while 3 of them are watching all the kids one of them gets to go out and do jobs or just sleep! |

just be careful with the end results of one person using them heaps more and never getting to point of giving back the same amount of time...
I used to babysit for couples who had been in the clubs...and when they work thats great...but often i was used cause noone else was available...and yet the couples i sat for were owed heaps of hours... also if with friends you may often be going to same events so cant use such a club or one person misses out as they are sitting... having said that they can work...it depends on the make up of the group doing it... |

My parents were in one when we were younger. Worked well for them coz we were cush shocking kids that no one ever wanted to come back twice so at least they had a pool to draw from! ------------- Maya Grace (28/02/03)
