the wedding venue in the waitakeres...anyways we all got invited to a wedding there (including Gabriella) for this weekend..has anyone been there?

Is there a parents area / somewhere away from reception seating to feed her...I dont really want to get the Boobs out in front of all those people (DHs friends)

Is it better to take her and leave her in the pod or is it set up to handle a stroller???...we will have both in car but thought someone who has been there might have some ideas?

thanks

We had our wedding reception there a few years ago. I think it's such a nice venue. The reception area was pretty open plan. They did have a couch type seat which was a bit away from the tables, but still in that room. Depending on how cold it is though - they do have an outside area which is under a bit of cover with tables & chairs out there. The stroller should be fine - my cousin had a newborn in a stroller at our wedding & just had the stroller sitting next to her table. There's a grass ramp down to where they have the ceremonies & then it's all one level where they have the reception. Have fun!

Just take a blanket with you and throw it over your shoulder. No one will be able to see anything.

Dont know if the pod thing is the same as the carseat capsule. If it is I wont leave her in that. It is really bad to keep a baby for too long in those things and it has been linked to bad small muscle control round and about age 6 or 7. I will just take the stroller with and put it right next to the table.

Have fun.

Have never been there but just thought I'd share that my two would never sleep in the capsules if they weren't moving (Maya never had a capsule) so I found the stroller heaps easier.

In a few months when you're brave enough to BF anywhere and everywhere you'll look back and laugh

I BF Josh at the foodcourt in the Plaza (our mall) when Josh was 3 weeks old. I was off to the side, but it didn't seem to worry poeple about it. I would just take the blanket to cover you. But then you never know she may be an angel for you that night and sleep the whole time you are out.
