argh... Rhyley has got into the habit of waking at 5am to get his dummy put in. He then goes back to sleep till at least 7am another dummy putin till 8. I am not wanting to let him cry it out - done that and took twice as long to settle and others have school and work in the house. I try to catch him before he stirs too much. I know there is no quick fix but its been around a month now that he has been doing it and I thought he was 'grow' out of it by now. ------------- Ann

I also think he maybe teething as he munches hard down on anything he gets in his mouth - mainly fists but teething wouldn't make him wake up at the same time every morning. ------------- Ann

sounds really familiar, Ethan has started doing the same, he used to go down with the dummy spit it after about 20 mins and that was him for the night, now he is waking to get it put back in, he started this about a month ago when he was the age your boy is now, so maybe its the beginning of that attachment thing, all i know is i am on a mission to maybe wean him off it now, can't be assed with all this getting up just for a dummy. ------------- http://alterna-tickers.com">

i heard you. i normally swear by the dummy but it is getting to be a pain in the butt, he woke at 5.35am this morning and i had to go in 3 times to put the dummy in.
I have tried all things, wrapping totally, wrapping only one arm, wrapping only his body, not wrapping at all. Part of me hoped he'd become a thumb/finger sucker just so I wouldn't have to get up and I swore none of my kids would be a thumb sucker (sorry to all those thumb suckers out there). I have heard that alot of the 4 monther are doig the same thing so I guess I just have to see it thru. But boy am I tired. I got a cricket do to go to tonight and I can see myself amost falling asleep on the table LOL  ------------- Ann

I think it's because they enter a light sleep phase at that time of day  Hopefully they will be able to put it back in themselves within a few weeks, but sorry I never found a "solution" either  -------------  |

it will be good to see what the sleep expert says. Its seems a common thing - dummy child or non dummy child. ------------- Ann
