If she has not alot of hair the velcro ones are apparently really really good to use

Now, I didn't see velcro... wouldn't that hurt, though?? (I got the safety sleep caught in hair in the back of my neck - don't ask - but it hurt like a mother .....)

there are some really cute clips there indeedy. but have you looked at the $2 shops and the dollars and sense shops - or even chemists. We are complete clip fiends in this house, Paris and Ayja both have their own big compartmented lunchboxes full of different colours and styles of hair clips - and each week with shopping their treat is to choose another pair of clips. (those clippies on the site look cute but have seen heaps similiar around here) chances are, when they are so little, they are gonna get lost.. alot. we tend to buy in bulk amounts of the same colours too for daycare so that if one goes missing we still have matching pairs. We get the tiny dinkie clips which i have always found sit in the girl's hair really well.

I've been a bit cautious (maybe overly so) about hair clips and stuff as everything is still going in the mouth and I'm worried she'll pull the clip out and try to eat it

Ayja did that for ages, and still does sometimes. I tend to take them out at bedtimes etc, I was reminded the other day.. i had forgotten to take them out when i put her for her afternoon nap. She didn't go to sleep as she had decided to fill her nappy. I went to change it and found her clips in amongst it.. so i am picking she took them out and stuck them in her nappy - ewwww. needless to say we have one less pair of clips - was annoyed cos they were really kewl ones too.

Headbands are cute but Ella learned how to take them off at an early age!
Little clips do get lost really easily and are ALWAYS going in mouths! Now Ella is pretty much okay with having clips in her hair, I even managed to plait her little pig tails.. the only thing I have to watch out for now is other kids pulling her clips out

Jess, can you get one of your American friends to get the headband and send it to you? $10 is a rip off if you're only getting a couple.. I do clothes swaps with some American ladies and they can get quite a few clothes into a box for $9USD.

ooh ooh ooh those things are the cutest bows ever! but $10us is a lot.... i could easily spend so much money on clips and bows for both my girls.
i am totally going to steal their clip storer idea, never thought of that!
