Sorry I cant think of anything you can take really except lemsip which is basically what you are doing anyway. Oh and only the normal lemsip not the lemsip max or whatever its called.
Maybe try asking the chemist if there is anything they think would be safe.
Hope you feel better soon.

I think that what you're doing now is as much as can be done for a preggy lady

I think you can have 2 panadol at once (no more than 4?? doses in 24hours). My memory has a bit of a bad rep! (so don't trust a word I say...lol)

Your midwife should be able to give you more ideas if there are any...

Yep, 2 Panadol every 4 hours is fine, as long as it's just the regular stuff, the panadeine and panadol extra etc are all no good when pregnant as they contain various other things such as codeine, caffeine etc.

Not sure about other things, was fortunate enough not to get the flu during my pregnancies, altho I have a touch of it at the moment and feel pretty revolting so I feel your pain!

Hey there, poor you! Not so good to be feeling like rubbish when you are pregnant!

I just wanted to say that my doctor and mw have both siad panadiene is fine in pregnancy. Codiene is the painkiller of choice for preggy ladies with needs for stonger PK. Obviously it is not ideal to take a lot or anything, but give your MW a call and clarify with her if she thinks it is ok, if you think it will help.

Panadol and lemon is the best thing for the flu, pregnant or not. unfortunately with a virus you just have to wait it out. Drink heaps, rest heaps and hope youget better soon.

I had a bad case of the flu when I was preg. The chemist gave me some throat lozanges that you can have....there is only 1 type out of all of them that you can have so make sure you check first. My MW & GP also confirmed before I brought.
The only other thing is rest and plenty of fluid.

Sending  your way I hope you feel better soon.

Panadol or panadeine are okay while pregnant. If your cold turns nast and you get a chest infection, there are antibiotics that are safe as well - your GP will help out there. It's one of those sucky things that you tend to get colds and flu during pregnancy thanks to your reduced immunity but there isn't all that much you can do. If it's any consolation, you'll probably heal just as quickly as someone sucking on lozenges and downing sudafed. Chicken soup is good - and the lemon drinks - and as much rest as you can possibly get. Hope you feel better soon :o)

Hope you get better soon, be sure to get plenty of rest, I had mine in my 3rd trimester so Haleigh would kick me hard when I coughed (wasnt nice lol)
