Man that is a bit of a scary thought. Now I know why my midwife followed me the other day and made sure I didnt have mine in the toilet.

I almost pushed mine out on the toilet (i'll tell you it is comfy) but my MW made me (well her and DH pulled me) hope back on the bed as I was to pull him out. One of my uncles (my dad's bro) was born on the loo.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Aparantly (according to my Mum) my 9lb brother was very nearly born on the loo, of the midwife hadnt convinced her that she didnt in fact need to go to the loo it was just the baby pushing on things, it may have ended with the big splash!

That is correct and infact get this I am shiftin next week and when looking at my new house one of hte reason's i chose it was cause its got a big bathroom/toliet  so next time round everyone that need's to will fit better the the option I plan to have my next on the loo it was the most comfortable place ever.   I had really no pain with Mikey I had an epi with Alan and it was more painful pushing him out then Mikey with no pain relief.

That is such a funny story. Poor dad and trying to time the contractions - she was in transition, not early labour! Amazing story!

maybe they neeed to have seats for labour that are just like a loo seat. I imagine it would be a really good position...like squatting without needing any strength...Go the loo I say!

Wow that is a great idea except one of hte thing's about having baby on the loo is less mess to clean up cause all hte blood and stuff go down the loo.
