This is actually kind of funny hehehe
When i took Jack to the doctor yesterday I thought I should mention a problem that I had noticed. Since my c section my bum has been numb, well actually more my tail area. I thought initially it was from spending too much time lying in a hospital bed, then that because I had spent so much time in there it was taking awhile to go back to normal. When it didn't I thought perhaps I was spending too much time on my butt at home, but after trying to stay off the area for the last week it wasn't any better.
Well turns out, during my spinal block they sturggled to get the needle in to do it (took over 6 tries), and now I have nerve damage, which will in time heal.
I do wonder though, is it funny to me only because right now I HAVE to laugh!

Oh no honey, you're not having a good run of it are you? Big hugs. I suppose at least the good news is that it will heal...(gotta look at the bright side right?)

Hugs from me too - you seem to have had your fair share of things lately. Hope you heal quickly

Does that mean that you can get ACC assistance due to misadventure (the injury from the spinal)?

I never thought of that! No doubt when I signed one of the many things they waved under my nose I gave away that right!

I'd talk to Angela about it... you could end up with some home help assistance

I totally get the urge to laugh - I felt the same was myself when I passed a huge chunk of placenta at 5 weeks postpartum. It's the whole "this could only happen to me" thing.

LMAO!! (oops pardon the pun!)
I think that paper they make you sign when you're about to go to surgery is disgusting! At that stage you'd sign to have your legs chopped off you're so over it all!
And unfortunately, I think you do sign so that you can't claim medical misadventure . But it would be good to check that.
I had the same numb bum thing, and it does eventually go away, but in my case only to be replaced with sore hips

Oh gosh Sarah Beth thats no good. Sometimes you just have to laugh or you'd cry.
I know I probably shouldn't say this but the first thing I thought of was I would have paid for a numb bum after I had Alyssa...."piles" ouchy, but I guess that's just not the same. Hope it all comes right soon, Big hugs.

And don't worry, I totally see the funny side of it

I'm now having Acupuncture to sort my hips out and it's on ACC.
I've never been covered for my left hip under ACC so have just been toughing it out. But I REALLY hurt the right hip after jumping out of bed to Caitlin at Easter. The lady doing my treatment said that she'll put down that my right hip was weak anyway due to overcompensating for my left hip so I'm getting both fixed under ACC and it's only costing me $25 a go
On a side note she is also helping to sort out my horrid ovulating pains (have been extremely painful since CS), I had a bit of cramping this week and that's it! So I highly recommend my lady

Ohh Sarah Beth .. it's not nice eh. I too had a CS and had a numb, but sore when you hit it, left 'cheek' (DH seemed to slap me on the right spot dozens of friggin times). I think it took about 4 months to come right.
Like Toni, I'm having acupuncture for birthing related things too, but all to do with my arms. Might pay to look into it for yourself and see if you can get it on ACC
