Ashleigh is finally cutting her first tooth but along with it so has a nasty red, raw booty that I can't even use wipes on  . Up until now, all I have ever used is Tui's Bee Balm on her but that isn't cutting the mustard now. I have a little trial pot of Sudacrem that I have used a couple of times today. So I was wondering what product you lovely ladies have used and found to work? I am obviously wanting something to cure nappy rash, not just prevent it!! I use bethapen. it was the only thing that worked for us.
I have now found it in Countdown didnt realise it was sold in supermarkets and used to pay alot at a chemist. It clears it up within 2days and haleighs gets really bad when shes teething. I have never heard of anything that will completly cure nappy rash its jsut something that will happen, but this def prevents it from happening ------------- http://lilypie.com">

I haven't actually used this lotion before as Gina hasn't had a nappy rash but we only use Mustela on her and so far so good. I've got a tube to use when the need arises and it specifically designed to cure nappy rash not just prevent it. You can get from pharmacies.

i thought i had already replied to this...obviously not tho.
we use curash at the sign of a red bum otherwise when it is bad we use sudocrem and we can see def improvements overnight with that ...otherwise lots of nappy free time is the best thing. oh and no wipes. |

| the doctor can prescribe creams with an anti-fungal agent in it that does wonders for stopping the rash BUT you have to change pretty much every two hours - regardless of whether they are asleep, AND clean the bottom thoroughly with warm flannels and some soap, or sopa like material. |

My girls get the horrible raw rash when teething too - it sucks. Sudocrem didn't work for us. Curash powder seems to be the best so far for us, bepanthem cream seems good but I wouldn't put it on rawness. I use a warm soft cloth with no soap (my girls get excema so we don't use much soap at the best of times) to wipe clean, and change a bit more often than usual. She may like to sit in a warm bath, or go without a nappy to help dry up. -------------  |

We have the best results from Mi-creme which you can get from pharmacy, or if you go to Dr they can give a script for Mi-creme H, we always notice a difference within 1 change & on extreme occasions (like when I took Ashlyn to 24hr surgery as it had come on so bad so fast) we also put zinc & castor oil cream on top of mi-creme for added protection - if using cloth nappies remember to use a liner

Thanks girls. I am using the blue Johnsons nappy liners to clean her now instead of wipes and she is much happier at nappy changes! i used cornflower. and nothin else. and it worked for my girl.

We use one called 'Excellent Bum Ointment' (very creative name! lol) which is a yummy natural one that a chemist here in Palmy makes. Since using it Andy hasn't had any nasty red bits.
