Please tell me I'm not the only young 'un who is going grey!! I'm not even 25 but I started finding greys pretty regularly over summer so I started plucking them - sure that I was seeing the same 6 over and over (that's how many I counted to at one point). But no, I've now plucked about a hair for every 2-3 days for the last 3 months so now I had better stop plucking if I want to keep hair!
For those of you who have started going grey, how long does it take between noticing your own and having enough at once that you are definitely "going grey"?? (10 years? )

My mum went grey early, she said us girls (me and my sisters) did it to her. I so don't believe her. She dyed her hair.

My dad was 100% grey at 30. I'm probably about 30%, I hadn't colored it for a while before my trip to the hairdresser this week and I was starting to look reaaaaally old
And I'm only 26!

Argggh Emma I didn't want to hear that!!! My dad went grey at 30 too Or is 30 normal and I just didn't realise how "young" 30 was until I left 21 behind??
Becks it may be true - just look at me with three girls LOL

Me... Everyone thinks I'm being silly, but there is a significant (to me anyway) amount especially noticeable when I tie my hair up. They are noticeable cos I have dark hair. My dad has been "white" for as long as I can remember and mum has been dying her hair for years so I guess its hereditary. Oh and my brother is getting there too! I used to pull them out but when they grow back they stick straight up cos they are thicker, so now I have to keep dying (yay for blond highlights in dark hair ). I'm only just 25. Kinda glad its not just me

Dad says the same thing (coincidentally I was born when he was 30 )

Same here! I guess dyeing is so common now that it's hard to pick it up... but I like my hair colour. It's a mid-brown with blonde flecks and I know I'll never get it back if I colour... so I procrastinate instead lol

hehehe lol at the grey haired comments, I started finding greys at 19 Yes!! far more noticable when I cut my hair short and when tied back. Mum was totally white around 30 also so there maynot be much help for you Teresa, although you could just say that the greys are blond streaks!!
I have given up colouring (& I'm a hairdresser) must be getting old, also havn't been to a hairdresser since moving back to NZ 3 1/2 years ago - hate paying for stuff when you know the price!!
Wont be long before I give myself another haircut & I will be completly natural again .... & probably 80-90%grey

I've got the odd one or two, when I do see them they come out! hehe but I'll just hide them with dye later on. At least we have that option!

Me too! Have been going grey for years now, just bit by bit! Still remember being in Melbourne (at age 22) and finding my first grey eyebrow! That was fun!

My girlfriend was nearly completely grey at 22! she dyed...orften. it looked really obvious as she naturally had very dark hair and dyed it dark as well - so the roots showed very obviously. I am one of the lucky ones. my grandmother at 70 has only started going grey. will stop bragging now.

My DH started going grey at 16. He gets it from his grandmother who started really early too. He has dyed it once but not again.
