I know this is another wonderful "symptom" of pregnancy, so does anyone know what is safe to take?

My m/w was nice about it when I told her, but she only recomended natural solutions - like eating raw almonds. (which incidentally do seem to work, but not for long).

I have heard that Gaviscon is fine, but does anyone know whether Qwick-Eze and Rennies are too?

Thanks

I talked to the pharmacist at my local chemist who recommended some chewable tablets called "Titralac". You get 100 tablets for about $12 and you take 1-2 tablets whenever necessary. They are alright for short term relief. Otherwise, best advice is avoiding the things that make you get indigestion - spicy foods, curry, acidic foods, eating too fast/too much, etc!

Oh god, my indigestion is horrible. I go to bed feeling fine then wake up a few hours later feeling that horrible burning feeling. I've been taking quickeze and they work fine. I'm just not allowed to take them at the same time as my iron pills. I am so glad it's nearly over as indigestion is one of the worst symptoms I've had.

My midwife seemed fine with whatever I choose to take. It's horrible!! It keeps me up at night! My midwife suggested using lots of pillows or if thats uncomfortable put books or something under the legs at the head of the bed to help gravity keep the acid down.
