Well Blake and I are heading over to Mothercracft next week to try sort out his "wee" night waking issues he has grown into...along with a few other little bits and pieces.
Been trying to get him onto De Lact formula which has been an total waste of time as he will just not have a bar of it at all. Have tried all different things to get him to have it. But NO! (so I hope these woman are able to persuade even the stubbornest of stubborn). I am making up custards with it every day now for lunch LOL.Which he will eat of course!!

Doing it to rule out my milk as causing him the bad wind and basically because I have had enough really and are no longer enjoying it (on and off) and not too sure he is getting enough off me anyway as seems to always have quite hard poo!(is that normal?)....Kind of makes me bit sad - Its a weird weird feeling giving up! Anyone else feel like that???? :o( I love the little games and cuddle times we have but on the other hand he is just as likely to bite me and pinch and jump up and down at times which is not much fun!

I am excited diet wise as are Mark and Paige as looking forward to being able to have some freedom and eat ONIONS and curry and everything we used too. Been so restricted with Blakes little tender system. They have had quite bland food for the last 8 months because I have!!

Anyway that was enough burble....

Did anyone else ever succeed at getting older subborn baby onto bottle/formula?
Do you think these ladies in Hamilton will know all the tricks?
Did anyone else feel relieved but bit sad to know end of b/f is near?

Im kind of hoping that the wind and hard poos and night waking is all related and that once onto a formula and I know what he is getting and hace a "routine" with bottles etc ...our happy daytime man will be our All day-night Happy Little Man!

Best of luck for necxt week! Brenna is part-time bottle and part-time b/f and she can be very stubborn too!! Sometimes I think I should just give up b/f so she only has the one source, but then I can't bring myself to stop as I love it so I know how you feel!!

Yes, we did have success with weaning the very stubborn Princess Maya onto a bottle at 9 mths. Prior to that she flatly refused to take even expressed milk from a bottle, they put her in hospital where the nurses fussed over her and low and behold the little monkey guzzled the formula back like she'd never known anything else. Cheeky sod.

So hopefully the mothercraft ladies will sort that stubborn wee man of yours out!

I guess at least she is having a bottle so if you did make a switch it would not be toooooooo painful!!...I think I have bought every brand of bottle out there lately! LOL.

Yep, she was a big ham too. And being fussed over is just marvellous for the ego
