Miss Sienna is off to the renal specialist this morning for a follow up. Her last ultrasound looked really good, so fingers crossed she may be able to come off her medication. -------------  Maya Grace (28/02/03)

What a performance! I got there at 10.20am for a 10.30am appt and the receptionist said "oh I've been trying to call you, your appointment was at 10am".  I wrote the date/time on the calendar while I was on the phone making the appt so obviouslt she has screwed up and double booked. So she said I'd have to wait till 11.15 for the doctors next free appt. I swear there was steam coming out of my ears, I was sooooooo mad! I threatened to take her notes and find another doctor and then her doctor came out and said he would come in next Mon especially to see Sienna (he's usually only there one day a month).
Long story short, I waited around till 11.15am coz I am NOT missing playgroup two weeks in a row just coz they are disorganised, but I made very sure they knew how unhappy it was, and that it has mucked up my entire day with the girls feeds/sleeps etc. And he didn't charge me for the visit which was good, but still
Anyways, outcome was that Sienna has to stay on her meds  but he thinks the reflux has gone from Grade V (very severe) to Grade III (moderate) due to the ultrasound results showing a reduction in the dilation of her kidney, and she doesn't have to go back for 12 mths. So she'll stay on the antibiotics for another 12 mths, have another MCU next April (where they put a catheter in and run dye thru her kidneys) then see him again in May.
So I'm pleased that things are looking a lot better. But still mad at being mucked around! ------------- Maya Grace (28/02/03)

glad sienna is doing ok...but what a pain being mucked around like that...i would have made her watch the bubs while i went to toilet for 20 mins or something to punish her....LOL!!!! |

... ah but wouldn't most people adore the opportunity to cuddle a little gremlin for 20 mins - not quite a punishment! Sorry to hear how you were stuffed around, Emma - what a rediculous day! LMAO Andie, it has been done! I give her the meds at her dreamfeed when she is too dozy to fight it and I always put her in the left hand rocker so I know which one is getting meds. But a couple of times I've given her the med and thought "huh, that's odd, she doesn't usually spit it out" then realised it's actually Mercedes and that I'd put them in the wrong cots when I put them down in the first place 
And one morning I gave Mercedes Sienna's meds and Sienna Mercedes reflux meds. Bad, bad twin mummy! ------------- Maya Grace (28/02/03)
