well the dfs parents turned up this morning completly unannounced and just made them selves at home. the looked around my lounge and frowned as i havent vacuumed today(was waiting until miss 2 was in bed0 and i had a load of washing i hadnt folded yet and boxes everywhere.
they said nothin to me and when df came home the told him that they were taking tash on the 8th,9th,10th,11th of june so they can take her to dfs neices 1st birthday. i spoke up and said i have a thing arranged(nzwp meet up) on the 10th that i was taking tash to... well they told df that i needed to change my plans so that they could take her.
df just turned round and told them that what i am going to has been on the cards for awhile and he will take tash over himself on the 9th if he has the time and then he asked if we were even invited and his parents just kinda looked at each other(dfs sils and i do not get on at all) and said they would see.
i am soo wild, they turn their noses up at me,they dont even talk to me,and they expect me to drop all my plans to fit them and df isnt even invited to his neices birthday!!!!
sorry rant over. i just had to get it out

i almost did tell them to get the f out but that would have caused more problems and i would have the evil sils on my case.
i just grabbed some lunch and went and sat outside and had a smoke.then my mate rang on my cell and when i went inside and answered it i got another lot of evil looks.
grrr they started out nice and then as soon as we told them i was preggers with tash they turned mean. they even told me that df could loose his job cos i was preggers.......

I know exactly how you feel. My MIL treats me the same way and I know how hard it is to stand up and let them know that their behaviour and attitude towards you is unacceptable. I often feel that speaking up will do more harm than good as it feels like as soon as you say something, they will then have more ammunition to make thing worse!
Big hugs and I'm glad your DF told them what was happening. If my partner didn't support me and stick up for me when it came to his mother I don't quite know what I would do!

It's great df is supportive! It's horrible how they think they own their granddaughter. You're an adult and can make decisions yourself! Be strong lol

Well if they thought having your daughter was a really bad thing then why the H*** do they come and try and take over her? You should politely remind them to go to H***.
You dont have to be liked by them nor your SIL. If you and your DF is not invited to this party then DD doesnt go either. Simple!! Stand by that....turn up to the party and give them evil looks and make comments on how badly the party is organised...or yuck what horrid food etc etc. See how it feels to be on the receiving side of it all.
Man I am ...MUUUUHA HA HA

Start standing your ground...if the sil's give you grief, tell them to f off.
I'm the dark horse in hubbies parents eyes, his brothers partner is wonderful (according to them).. Your partner needs to talk to my hubbie, cause he very rarely stands up for me, so I'm always the b*tch.
If being a b*tch is what it takes for you to get some respect from them, so be it. It's your house, your family they should be going by your rules!

df is lucky my parents love him to bits. df and my sit and talk about beer, holdens, and the cheifs for hours.
what gets me is dfs bros dont wanna get invovlved even though its their partners making my life h***.they just stay well away from us when we are all together....although at the moment i am not going to any family gatherings as i just dont need the added stress and bull that goes with it all.
it does put a bit of a strain on dfs and my relationship....

I would imagine it does!! But thats the thing, you guys need to be partners and stick together (Trust me I know how hard that can be)...and if you are good together then the rest can go and take a flying.....#*%$(^$
Make sure you stand up for yourself!!!

Agree, stand up for yourself. It is your home and your family. If the in-laws can't deal with that, then they miss out.....

Wow that's quite obnoxious, how cool that your DF was totally on your side! (Remember to thank him hehe)
Gosh I've never left my girls (any of them) with PILs or even my own parents for a day lol... let alone 4! Are they really that keen for nappies etc and is Tash up to a 4 day without mum and dad stint?
