I LOVE LOVE LOVE the bum genius 2.0 nappies! I've got every colour (except pink - which might look a little funny on my little fella ) and they are my favourite of all my cloth nappies. I have never ever had a leak in them, and they allow me to get a really snug fit, even when he's wriggling all over the place!   hehehehe - can you tell how much I like them? Cant rave about them enough!

Can you use Bumgenius on newborns easily? Or do they look bulky? Can you use them through to toilet training? Are they the same price everywhere?

Someone mentioned in another thread that Bumgenius are quick drying, is that really true? Do you have to wash all these kinds of nappies in hot water?

Where do you get these from? I need to buy some more nappies as the winter drying times are seriously challenging my stash. We are running out by the end of the day. Have heard these are great. They are pockets, right?

We are going to choose Bum Genius aswell. They look very good and fit newborns (if its an 8 pounda) up to approx 3 year old. Nice colours too.

Our neighbour swears by Fuzzi's and has only ever bought 12 which she used from newborn and he just turned 1 and still wearing the same size. So you dont really need to buy different sizes.

Are bumgenius from Fuzzi's? Cos I thought they were but can't find them anywhere on the honeychild website. Will be getting bumgenius naps for our bubs too - such a good deal.

This is where we are purchasing our nappies from. All up the cost is going to be about $80 cheaper than buying them in NZ, and that includes the cost of shipping them.

Don't forget to include the exchange rate. It works out to be about $7 cheaper per nappy including exchange rate & shipping.

When I looked at it just now - for a 3 pack of nappies was more expensive than buying 3 over here - just! It probably gets cheaper the more you buy though...

Yeah, we are buying a 12 pack, so that's how it ends up being $7 a nappy cheaper. The shipping is around $37USD.

This may not happen with all kids though, every baby is a different shape and will fit nappies differently. I doubt many people would only get away with one size of Fuzzis if used from newborn. Also the main measure for size of nappy is thigh circumference, skinny thighed and chubby thighs make a huge difference. For example, my Hannah had outgrown small Fuzzis by 3 months, and mediums by 12 months, so we would never have been able to get away with one size. There are also a lot of nappies (velcro fitteds and AIO's) that dont fit her right (so they leak) cos her thighs are too chubby.

FB smalls until one? If only I had a skinny short baby LOL

Caitlin is the same as Hannah but was in her smalls until 7mths and is still in her mediums and has heaps of room to grow with them before she goes up to the larges

aimeejoy - The one size Bum Genius's we are getting are x-small, small, medium, large in one nappy and go from 8 pound to 35 pound. So hopefully they will fit till bubs doesnt need them anymore.

Yeah I know what you mean, but I know that some people have problems with AIOs fitting properly the whole way through (too bulky on newborns and too small/not absorbant enough for toddlers). They seem like the most economical option, but arent always. Not saying it won't be for you, but Hannah is very close to 35 pound now and no way near toilet training.
