Big vent to follow...sorry ladies.
After a pretty damn crappy weekend I'm having one of those 'it's all too hard I just want to curl up in a ball and cry' days. Unfortunately, with DD now crawling and grumpy from teething to boot, that's not an option. So I've deposited her in her high chair with a marmite rusk and come on here instead.
We've had no sleep, family being idiots and making things harder when they're usually so good, DD unhappy from teething, stress from taking on too much work and needing to get it done before we go overseas this week and trying to get everything sorted for that, plus the usual needing to clean the house/sort out the finances/errands to run...it's all too much.
You guys know what I mean, eh?
Aw, DH just rang and said he has rearranged some meetings to look after DD so that I can get some work done on Wednesday and emailed me a link to a duathlon that I could do in winter...now I really am crying, he is so cool!
Sorry for the random emotional post, I'll stop writing now

Awww it sounds like you have a really supportive DH! I know what you mean, some days it's just so tough especially if you don't have family close-by - or perhaps even more if they are close-by but don't get involved. Big hugs! Can you get someone to help with the packing for going away? Or the daily cleaning?

Thanks guys, I know I am pretty lucky to have such a great DH and there are a lot of other people who are dealing with much worse out there, so shouldn't really complain. Just being able to blah it all out on here and know that you all understand how I'm feeling has made me feel better. Oh Baby is great!
DD now asleep (first nap since six this morning eek!) so I'm off to tackle the house work and have some lunch. Hopefully the rest of the day will look better.
Failing that, we are looking at a house to buy this afternoon, which will be fun. Who needs to clean a house when you can just buy another one?

Duathlon...cool....that's the one where you EAT and DRINK (two events) right? Anyway, yep, we all have those days, and we all need a vent. If it all gets too much, put the crawling one in her cot (or if you have a portacot, put it up in the lounge, pop a few toys in it and put a kiddie DVD on) and have a warm drink and some time out. Best of luck with the packing.

oh the joys of finances, and babies....
sounds like your DH is onto it and knows what you are going thru which is great....we are looking at refinancing now too and possible buying options so we are at similar stage...and i too have a bubba who has not slept all day and wanted to be held...
I feel for you - go have a coffee and relax and know that i am thinking of you and sympathising....HUGS!!!

Heh heh heh! At this stage, that's perfect for me!
Will see how we go, I've got to actually do some training for this one. I tend to get through these sorts of events using little preparation and lots of sheer bloody-mindedness, and I think my body is a bit too old for that now!
Yesterday got a bit better and today is a new day. The portacot is up in the lounge this morning and DD is playing away happily, so a better start at least.
Bombshell, I hope Ella settles better for you today. I feel your pain!
Thanks everyone for the sympathy yesterday, you are all very cool people
