I know this question has probably been asked before but I just need some reassurance and peace of mind really.

Okay not so long ago by wee man was having 3 x 240mls and 1 x 180mls and he usually downed the whole lot. I cut back to 3 bottles as I was a bit concerned he was drinking way too much milk and just started offering him water instead. Well now its a stuggle to get him to even drink 180mls each bottle and probably drinking between 120mls & 150mls. Some nights he only drinks 90mls (like tonight) before bed. Admittedly he has had v & d and teething on top this last week and so far touch wood he still sleeps through the night.

Should I be worried or just go with it?

He's one, I'd just go with it. Does he have yoghurt/cows' milk/milo/cheese?

Dietician told me today that Hannah at 18 months needs at least 500-600 ml of milk per day. But if he is having other dairy food then maybe not so much (?) cos obviously Han isnt having that stuff.

I'm still giving him formula. He does have cheese, yoghurt and custard. But he didn't have any of those today though as have to keep it bland.

I really have to do the change over from formula to cows milk but just haven't got there yet.

At that age Jack wasn't drinking a whole lot of milk cos we had just stopped bfeeding and he wasn't really into cows milk. He now loves milk but I only let him have about 600ml a day as well as cheese and yoghurt. Id say offer him dairy and if he doesn't want it that day its ok

I think we figured out why he wasn't drinking much - he had v & d and was also teething as well, but we did get two lovely big teeth out of it. He's back to drinking his 3 x bottles a day now no worries at all. Thanks for your advice.

Rhiannon is drinking 100mls of formula a day and lots and lots of water, i cant get any more formula into her, and she isnt into her yoghurt but is into her cheese, and i give her brocolli as well, as thats full of calcium.

i have found that rhiannon will drink banana smoothies and loves milkshakes...so thats always a possiblity...and if you make them yourself you know whats going into it.

Well I finally took the plunge and have moved onto cows milk - well have cows milk and formula at this stage. He doesn't seem to mind it at all at the moment anyway.
