Hi ladies

OK so I had it all planned out, my friends had this fab midwife who I wanted as well - but she's taking a break over Christmas and New Year. Guttered!

I would love if any of you could let me know your recommendations for a great midwife in the Auckland area - Auckland City. I think I'd like to deliver at Birthcare in Parnell.

You could PM me if you don't want to mention names on the public forum (not sure if it's allowed?!).

And it sounds a bit cheeky, but if anyone knows someone who they wouldn't recommend, I'd appreciate knowing that too (PM). I just really want a great midwife for our wee bubs!

TIA

My midwife, Yvonne Daji, is brilliant. She delivered all three of my girls. She works out of Glen Innes with three other midwives, one of whom was also there when the gremlins were born. Let me know if you want details.

I'm using Sue Holley, she's worked at National Woman's for 25 years, and something like 15 of those she's been a charge midwife on the delivery ward. I love her, she's quirky and funny and "mum" like, and of course has the experience to boot. She told me she is hopeless with the paperwork (her partner does it all), but I'll have the best Labour and delivery!

Thanks Mel - I ended up ringing Yvonne this morning though (yes I am Mrs Impatient) and she is happy to take me on, so I'm all sussed!

It's starting to feel a wee bit more real now!
